Malevolent Planet 2D - Proactivity
Hey! Despite still having about 2-3 weeks of dev time this month, it's starting to feel like I'm running out of time a bit. That might be because next week my work time will be cut short before the end of the (next) week and then there'll be a bit of a work trip, and then a very short holiday break in June, probably the only one I'll have until the end of the year so there'll be no more "work interruptions" after this.
That's why, I'm trying to stay on top of things by already dividing development time between this month's build and June's build and working on future scenes you may find exciting including more alien content and possibly our first X-Ray content scene.
To achieve everything I want to achieve, here's what I have planned for this week:
Bugs:
None as far as I'm concerned, but there are some things that don't exactly fit the definition of a "polished" game so in July I'll take some time to smoothen things and bring the game closer to what it'd look like if it was at least a 5 dev team working on it :D
Content (Sounds):
I think 50% of the NSFW animations in the game have sounds as of now, and for the remainder I need to find some other sounds so we can separate female characters' voices a bit.
Content (Animations):
I need to finish the 2 Spine Animations I'm working on and integrate them into the game. I believe I can achieve this, but I'm still getting accustomed to Spine's UI/features.
Content (Dialogues):
I need to finish writing & polishing the dialogue(s) that will play for the above 2 Spine Animations in the Ship's Sanitation Room. Ideally by the end of the week I'd be able to see the two animations playing in their dialogues from beginning to end without issues.
The above are already ambitious, from what I've understood from other devs even one animation can take one week sometimes but I have hope it'll be achieved so we'll have whatever time we'll get next week to work on:
Finishing the skipping game feature so you can skip all the way to the end of the ISA with choices on the way.
Fix any issues that may occur to guarantee a smooth flow for the new content.
Let's hope I achieve the above and more! See you at the end of the week!
