Office Party Tech Demo Beta Is Here! (0.1.3191)

Hey Partiers!

The Office Party Tech Demo is moving into Beta! Build 0.1.3191 is ready for Beta Tier and higher Patrons, with new activities to try and a whole bunch of improvements since our last Patreon build.

Before anybody gets too excited about the new showers: there still aren't any sex scenes in this build. We're continuing to work on our more interactive intimacy system, and we look forward to showing you more of it. This is still a tech demo—a taste of the gameplay, characters, and technology we're building for Office Party, with plenty still in development.

Clean up your act. Or at least your character.

Showers are now animated, complete with mist, automatic doors, and gradual Hygiene restoration. You can also hit the weights, read a book, or give yourself a pep talk in the mirror to build your attributes. Yes, talking yourself up in the bathroom now counts as self-improvement. Finally, a game that understands us.

We've also added 14 new sitting poses, music around the pool, and recorded Tippy voice lines for several tutorials. The apartment's lighting and reflections have had some attention too.

Roxy still needs a hand

The sunscreen minigame has had another round of refinements, including hand movement, wrist angles, and sitting poses. Enjoyment now builds with coverage, and you've got a little more time to recover from mistakes. Roxy will also get back to texting when she's settled onto her sunbed afterward. Apparently, your excellent sunscreen service doesn't mean she has to give you her undivided attention forever.

A smoother time walking around

We've improved walking, turning, posture, foot placement, eye and head tracking, and character reactions, along with fixes for swimming and hands and arms clipping through bodies and clothing. Character portraits have been refreshed, gamepad support has improved, and hidden dialogue responses now have clickable scroll indicators. We've also fixed the player's head clipping through pool walls, made character interaction prompts more reliable, and improved where attribute reward badges appear in interaction menus.

Your held phone now displays its interface on the phone's screen, and we've fixed some message and conversation issues. There are also improvements to save/load behavior, Character Designer previews, gifts, and story interactions. We’ve also adjusted the Character Designer’s idle pose to reduce creasing under the jaw. And if you miss that first-day deadline, there's now a proper firing/game-over screen with options to recover or start again. Your boss remains annoyingly committed to the concept of showing up for work.

Graphics, feedback, and what's next

New installations now default to native resolution, and we've added optional hardware-based graphics recommendations, Re-optimize and Undo controls, and a way to export local diagnostics. We've also made performance and stability improvements.

AI remains completely optional. You can play without it, or try the evolving AI features for an extra layer of character interaction.
