How do my funds support Restitched?

As a subscriber, you're directly supporting the development of Restitched by allowing us to purchase necessary assets and licenses, fund online storage plans, and afford our various platform fees. We also maintain emergency funds and set aside funds for future marketing!

These funds have already afforded us many luxuries and increased development speed. We use several third-party assets, including sound effects, promotional music licensing, game models, textures, shaders, particle effects, development tools, task management platforms, game build automation, and so much more...

As a team of hobbyists from around the world (and since making games is very expensive), we work on Restitched solely out of passion. This means no one involved currently receives profit. Instead, the funds are safely held in a Trixel Creative bank account where they're used for game and platform expenses. To ensure the money is spent responsibly, we vote on its usage.

We hope to create a royalty plan for ourselves in the future! However, due to the project's history and global nature, as well as local tax, labor, and legal jurisdictions, it can be challenging to sort out. As such, it can only be decided at the end of development when we can look back and track overall contributions, seek professional advice, etc.

We often post casual, random development videos. These are short clips that showcase a specific feature or game content we've been working on!

Though our most popular post type is Restitched: Recapped! -- a monthly dev log that recaps the team's progress from the month prior. These posts are exclusive to Patreon for one week before releasing to the community!
