Weekly #254
Last week we had an image of Tara going through a goth phase in her life. This is a sure sign that, although I use Tara's model for my avatar, Tara's not me. I don't do goth. I'm a metalhead. I'll take Slayer over the Cure any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. :-)
My favorite caption this week was LB876's
"She was a dark and stormy night...."
Subtle and good. Nice one LB876!
Last week we did a lot of work on Toro7, from scripts to images to scenes to coding. The code in this game is more complex than typical, so I'm spending some time figuring things out and making sure that, if we do episodes, I'll be able to do them in a way that doesn't break saved games between episodes.
Also, AbyssalEros completed his German translation of Chasing Beth, which I've released. If you speak German, check out the post immediately before this one. Thank you, Abyssal!
Finally, this week I plan to release a short story that I wrote recently called, "Sister." It's the continuation of the Tara series that so far consists of "Rain God" and "Westbank." Most likely I'll release it to higher level patrons on Tuesday and to the public on Wednesday.
For this week's image, we have another character from Toro7. This is Mali hanging out in her lab on the station. What do you think of her?
Tell me in captions.

BWACK CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK. Rough Translation: Where are all the caption writers? ( - :
People tend to be drawn to different members of a ship's crew. Some want a cocky pilot, others prefer the dexterous tongue of a seasoned communications officer. The science officers have always been more to my taste, though. They're brimming with theoretical knowledge and enthusiastic about testing it in practicum.
A pool for Douglas Adams' found dolphins? "Hello, and thanks for all the fish, Mali."
"Careful Mali, while the station's reactor cooling pool might be warm, it may not be the best thing for the skin."
I had a diminutive goth friend threaten to throw me out of her car for saying I didn't like The Cure. Fortunately our shared appreciation for VNV & Apop saved my ass from road rash.
