What's up with Tlaero?
Hey everyone, Tlaero here.
In the states we have these big box home improvement stores where they sell everything from lumber to tools to light fixtures. And, if you look around at the store employees, you'll realize that a large number of them are people who retired from their day jobs, got bored, and took a part time job to pass the time.
I can relate.
I still have a day job, one that's quite consuming, but I did retire from my secondary job of writing erotic games. And I've just about finished a month of vacation from my day job. Spending time with my loved ones was wonderful, but it didn't exactly fill the days. While I won't say that I got bored, I did need something to help pass the time.
So I've been writing.
I wrote the scripts for the remaining chapters of Elsa's Nightmares (there will be six in total), but that didn't take too long. They're short stories after all. What I really did was get serious about "Life Changes for Keeley."
If you remember the very end of "Coming to Grips with Christine," Keeley goes home early to surprise her husband and gets surprised herself. That was supposed to be the setup for another game. Then the whole "retirement" thing got in the way. And, though I haven't really resolved my issues with writing erotic games in secret, I feel that, at least for now, I've got enough balance to write this game.
That last sentence isn't exactly accurate. "To write this game" implies that I might write it in the future. The truth is that I worked on it a ton over the last month, and, today, I finished the script.
I'm here to announce that, when Mortze finishes his (awesome) SW game, he and I are officially going to work on "Life Changes for Keeley." It's a long game, and generating all of the images for it will take a considerable amount of time. I have no idea when the release date will be. But it's going to happen.
LCfK will be in Renpy format and will allow you to play as two different characters. One is James, Keeley's husband who cheated on her. The other is Claryce, the woman in the bookstore in "Coming to Grips with Christine."
So, am I still retired? I don't know. I'm very fond of the script I wrote for LCfK. Maybe it will be my swan song. I currently have no other games in mind. Or, maybe, when we're done with it, I'll decide to write something new. I guess we'll see.

Oh Tlaero, it is so good to here from you again. I am thankful that you have worked out your differences and come to piece with you and your family. I truly look forward to another creation of yours, but not at the cost of loved ones in and around your household. So do what you feel is best. I hope and believe for the best for you and your family, my dear. You have a great heart. Thanks so much! Does Tora Productions have a channel on Discord?
Great news indeed! As interesting as Science of Lust looks (assuming it ever materialises), and as fun as a sexy Star Wars game could be, it's good to hear that Keeley's story will continue. She deserves it. :-) A general question, Tlaero: do you still get a share of the money of this Patreon account? If so, I'd become a patron right away. Your games have been so consistently above the usual fare, I'd be happy to give you a little bit of compensation for that. :-)
Even when I was full time on Tora, I gave the vast, vast majority of my share of the Patreon money to Mortze. But helping him is a big help to me, so don't let that stop you from becoming a patron. --Tlaero
Certainly exciting. I'm glad to hear that you've been able to get closer to that balance you are needing. It's also exciting to hear that you will be joining us for another tale in the future. Cheers.
It is really great to hear from you, Tlaero and that it seams that you are at least half back on board of Tora Production. Please keep the current distance so that you don't have to pull the plug when you are too much involved again.
Such fantastic news! Made my year.
I think that everything will work out with the game and we will see this release very soon. And it's great that you spent a lot of time with your family.
Glad to hear you have still been creating, after all its not like you can turn that off. I am even happier that you are able to reconcile your conflicts in sharing these creations with us.
I am so happy. Keeley's was my favorite story until Elsa's came out so i was really happy i learned at the end of CtGwC. And i was a bit sad when T took her leave (but with good and respectable reasons). So....yeah supa good news here. I'm glad i was alone when i read this post cause i did a lot of yelling and "Woooooooo!" as i read along.
This is terrific news. I'm so happy to hear that retirement hasn't stopped T's creative juices from flowing. If she wrote the script for a full game in one month, I think she should retire again immediately after LCfK comes out and go on another month-long vacation. Maybe if she goes on a cruise she'll get inspired and help MOrtze with the next Pandora (!!!). My only question is, will this affect the development of Science of Lust? That game looked very promising, I'd like to see more of it at some point.
That's great news! Please keep doing what you love. You shouldn't have to do it in secret. Is there any plans as to when Elsa's Nightmare will be released?
is Elsa's nightmares for patrons only?
Alright, I'm going to be that guy. I am happy you felt the urge to create another story for us, and I have no right to ask for more, but I am going to ask anyway, if only to maybe plant a seed. I would love to read the next episode in Xara's tale. Demon Guard was a fascinating look into the other side of the portal, and was shaping up into a really satisfying story in its own right. And seeing Xara try to be an actual person, rather than just the living weapon she had previously been, was for lack of a better word amazing. I loved that story as much as any of your pure-text stories, and would love to see more.
Never apologize for being a fan. We like fans. (-: In my mind, after Keeley, Xara's story was the most untold. So, it's not a crazy request that you're making. --Tlaero
Oww, so looking forward to this!
Welcome back! (even if it may only be for a short time)
Thank you!!!!!
Oh man, I don't think anybody except possibly Mortze could be happier about this than me. Great to have you back lady T, temporarily or otherwise.
I'm thrilled to hear it, T - both the news that there's more storytelling coming from the "old gang" and that you've found a way to indulge your interest in writing without disrupting your real life. Puts me in mind of a certain pointy-eared scientist who was fond of saying: "There are always... possibilities."
Sounds like you have your dicks in a row either way. Glad to hear from you and to know everything’s ok. Take care of yourself, as you already know, and trust that we here support you all the way :)
