Elsa's Nightmares

Hey everyone, Tlaero here. Although I'm retired, I still care a lot about Mortze and never stopped paying attention to this place. I fully understand why people have left and bear no ill will toward them, but the steady decline in patrons has made me concerned for him. I seriously appreciate those of you who have stayed. Thank you.

Undoubtedly, one of the reasons for the decline has been the lack of new content over the months. Mortze is hard at work on his SW game, but I think he needs some kind of monthly perk to help keep the interest up. So, I decided to write something for him.

Introducing "Elsa's Nightmares." This will be a series of very short stories that he'll release to $10 patrons, probably monthly, for a while. They'll be in Renpy format, heavy on sex, and have an overarching story. I've currently got around six of these bouncing around in my head, and they will include many of the characters in the Elsa-verse. This won't actually be a "game" since there won't be any choices to make, but you'll get a canon Elsa-verse story written by me with images made by Mortze.

I just reviewed the finished version of Chapter 1 and think Mortze will release it to $10 patrons soon. I hope you enjoy it.

Tlaero

Hej Tlaero, hej Mortze, I logged in to Patreon today for the first time after some month with the intention to cancel my (low tier) support for Tora Poductions. This is because I hadn't seen any progress for a long time and also the last things that were published didn't really catch my interest. But now reading your post and also the last one about the SW game I reconsidered my decision and decided to stay Patreon of Tora Productions. I almost forgot that what I liked most on your games where the well thought out and consistent story. Also to my opinion the games you released in one peace where even better with this than the later ones released in parts. Therefore I am happy now to further support give him time to produce a really grate game. Also knowing that you are still around and supporting here and there, maybe also influencing the games a bonus. Hope you can continue the Tora Productions Storry for a long time -- someone

Hello Tlaero, I am just a patron off the lowest tier. I came here for the Elsa-verse and was sad seeing you leave and Mortze staying alone. Do not worry, I can understand your reasons, although I will never understand those queer morality views you have there over the great ditch, called ocean, and I am happy that this plane of water divides us from each other. I was thrilled to learn that iksanabot joined Mortze as I very much like his LoP games. Therefore it was never an issue for me to quit my lowly support for them until I learned they are doing an SW game. Since George Lucas killed Star Wars with Episodes 1 to 3 and the following continuous rape by Disney of the sold-out and rotten carcass, I sincerely distaste this franchise. Although I very much like the images they have shown so far - they are just awesome – they are still part of the rotten SW franchise, and therefore I doubt I will increase my support in the near or far future. Sorry for being rudely honest.

Hello AbyssalHeros. I share some of your unhappyness regarding what Disney is doing to SW (although the Mandalorian is a welcome fresh air) and have mixed feelings about episodes 1-3, but I can garantee you that what I'm doing has nothing to do with any franchise because it's fanart, and specifically, fanart that draws very little from the canon aside the timeline. The movies 1 through 9 have all been about one thing; the Skywalker story. That means that anyone who follows the movies expects a certain continuity, coherence, in story and characters, and much of the disapointment has been because those two things have failed somehow. You'll notice that until now The Mandalorian hasn't been much criticized because there isn't much to criticize, it's a new character and a new story. There are no expectations frustrated. Now, I'm not saying that my game will be good and won't be disapointing, I hope not, but it's also about a new story with new characters and it has the novelty on his side. I'd give it the benefit of the doubt, -- Mortze

I was a patron for awhile and greatly loved the combination of the Mortze's art and Tlaero's writing. While I understand the personal choices that Tlaero felt she had to make,it was the combination of talents that most drew in my support in the past.

A movie quote comes to mind, "We're putting the band bad back together." Even if not true, it's lovely to see you again. And forgive me, but Elsa isn't the only one who dreams.

Tlaero, as great as Mortze art is, it was your heart and your sensitivity that made me want to know more about you and what else you had done. Your stories have a sense of humour, you have things to say. You have a real talent for these stories, and for writing in general. As soon as the first story drops, I'll renew my pledge. If you allow me the arrogance of giving personal advice, you should do what you love, and no one should stop you from doing it. These things are what make us feel happy and fulfilled, it is what gives sense to this senseless world, if you pardon me the cliché. No one should tell you to stop doing what you love, especially your partner. I don't know what I would do if my wife said she didn't want me to code anymore, I work as a programmer, or that I read too much comics or play too much video game. Never stop doing what you love. I know that are still brilliant stories in the elsaverse and elsewhere to be told. Please forgive me for intruding in your personal life, but It pains me to see someone giving up on something they love

Good to know that you are still lurking, Tlaero. I had to cut my subscription back because I was going through a bad patch. Now I have dealt with that, my subscription will be going back up, because I share your confidence in Mortze, and remain seriously impressed by his artwork.

Thanks Tlaero, I really hope this helps Mortze get a few more patrons to hold things over until the new game comes out. If there was any justice in the world, you two would be raking in the cash based on the strength of your back catalog alone, but I get that's not how this works. I'm down for anything you guys do together, so good luck with this new project!

Talero those of us still here believe in mortze and what he does. That being said (and no offense mortze I love your work) it hasn’t been the same since you left. But you left for a really good reason. If you feel kosher I am super excited by this. We love your stories. And I am sure you miss creating them. After all a creative genius can’t just turn off the faucet. I’m very excited
