Progress 5 July 2026
Between the world cup and an extreme heat wave where he lives, Mortze wasn't able to do much this week. I continued to write the script, but I'm pulling farther away. So, I slowed down somewhat and spent time reviewing things. I've all but decided that we're going to do episodes, and I need to make sure that I set everything correctly. So, it's not too bad that I'm getting a few releases ahead of him. I can test the code without images.
I'm also still thinking about the next Elsaverse game (although, Minos is going to be long, so we won't get there for quite some time). I decided to read everything in the Elsaverse in order (cannon paths only). I finished the omnibus this week and have moved on to the second set of games. I don't think I've ever read it all back to back like this. I primarily write the kind of stories that I like to read. So, I actually really enjoy reading my own stuff. It's been fun to go through them. And I see little hints that remind me what was going on in my life when I wrote them. (IE, someone complains about a bad manager, and he happens to have the same name as a manager I wasn't getting along with at the time. Etc.)

A while back, I found an old binder with essays I wrote in...whatever you call the school you go to when you're 16-18, and started reading them. Some made me crimge a bit, but it was fun to realize that some of them actually made me proud of what 17 year old me managed to write. One was a story about a divorced man getting to grips with life, and I don't understand how I could write something on that subject at that age...
