Progress 29 March 2026

This week Mortze did a large number of images for Signals, and we moved forward by three smallish scenes. I just finished incorporating them into the game.

While preparing to write this progress report, I noticed that I missed a question from Jason last week. He asked whether we pronounce "Won" like it rhymes with "one" or "fawn." Definitely "fawn" in my book. I'm not sure how Mortze pronounces it, though.

I divided my time somewhat this week. I spent time working on the script for Minos. But I also took a brief diversion to work on something else. I had a dream this week that actually gave me a good idea for a story. Frequently, in the middle of a dream I think, "This would make a great story." And when I wake up, I realize that, no it does not. But this time, the seed of the story in the dream seems to work even in the waking hours.

There's a text-only series of short stories I'm planning to write. And the first of them will unlock when you finish Signals. I was planning to wait until the next time Mortze is working on a solo project to write the rest of the stories in that series. But this idea fits, so I've spent some time putting a rough blocking of the story together while I've got it in my mind.
