Progress 16 November 2025
Last week, Mortze did the images for a subscene in Puzzle Date. It's progressing a little slower than I would like but hopefully will pick up in the future. I integrated the images into the game, and they look great!
I also spent a lot of time on the game that will come after Puzzle Date and Signals. I'm getting close to some of the "reveals" in the story, which is exciting for me.
For various reasons, movies are shot out of order, but I can't write that way. I never write a later scene before I've written all of the scenes before it. Especially when I'm stuck on the current scene, I do go back and edit the early parts of the story. That often helps me stay grounded in the story, and results in a lot of beneficial copy edit passes on the work. And it allows me to be productive when I'm just not feeling it that day. But I don't "skip ahead" and write the really cool scene I've got in my head before I write the ones that come before it. So, coming up to one of those cool scenes is a lot of fun.

Only movies that come to my mind and were shot chronologically (or at least roughly so) are Breakfast Club, E.T., Platoon and Das Boot.
Happy Sunday Evening 🌙, Tlaero, Mortze, and everyone! Nice, Mortze and Tlaero! Fantastic work as always 😉👍🏻! "Oh, I WANT those reveals too 😋!" I WANT ALL YOUR CONTENTS 😛!!! Movies might be shot out of order, but the script is already written… unless you bring in a new director 😂. But same… I can't just jump to a new scene. It'll just bug me 😅. Who writes out of order? That's just weird 😂. As always, thanks for the Update, Tlaero!!! Keep on keeping on, both you and Mortze 😉!!! ALWAYS EXCITED AND EAGERLY WAITING FOR YOUR GAME AND READING YOUR POSTS 🙌🏻🔥!!! Love and appreciate everything! Both of you ❤️, your ladies 😍, and your posts/Weekly 🥰. Mortze, your amazing Customs (seriously a Tier for Commission every month; think about it 😋) and your games ❤️! Always make my days better 🌞! Thank you all for being in my life/routine 😉! Stay safe, stay blessed, and stay in PERFECT health, beautiful people! And don't forget to stay hydrated! Have an amazing and beautiful week! I'll catch you all—ON THE NEXT ONE ✌🏻😁!!!
It’s always interesting to me when writers describe their methods — are they a plotter, pantser, or plantser? (Patreon doesn’t always like links, but search “writing style alignments” and you’ll find a D&D-style grid someone posted on Reddit.) I used to believe plotting (writing in order, etc.) was the only way to go, but that just didn’t work for my brain (which may or may not be related to my having ADHD). These days I would say I’m more of a Chaotic Plantser, or sometimes a Neutral Pantser, depending on the story. ;)
Interesting. I've never heard of those names, but just looked them up. I'm definitely a plantser. I do outline, but I do it mostly in my head. I work out the major scenes and what each scene needs to accomplish, but generally don't have details ready when I go to write that scene. So I'm kind of "seat of my pants" at the scene level but "plotted out" at the higher levels. I also do a lot of my initial draft writing in my head (often when I first wake up in the morning) and then write it down later. --Tlaero
Movies are shot out of order But the script is (usually) written in order
Good point.
