Progress 24 Nov 2024
Last week Mortze created four animations for the sex scene he's been working on, and he wrote the script for it. I edited the script and coded it up.
I'm also continuing to work on the story that we'll do after SWM. Early on, I frequently struggle to figure out how to tell the story I want to tell, and then, bang, it comes to me, and everything works from there. I think that happened this week. I'm pretty sure I've worked out the stylistic direction for the story and have been writing small scenes to lock it in.
I find that I'm at my most creative shortly after waking up, but before I get out of bed. That's often when I come up with something important for a story that I'm working on, and this case was no exception. Do you folks have a time and/or place where you're more creative or more likely to solve a problem you're working on? I'd love to hear about it.

Nice with the update! As for the question: I don't have a place or time; normally things will just come to me randomly. I DO know it never comes to me when I'm trying, lol.
Often at a time when it’s not convenient for me to write it down — probably a connection there. 😅 I’ve gotten plenty of ideas in the shower or while driving, which has led to constant repetition to myself during a mad scramble to get to a place where I can quickly (and safely) write them down. It’s been less of an inconvenience since phones can now double as a tape recorder *and* a notepad (thank you, Google Docs), and my BFF got me a shower notepad as a gift. 😄
I find I am most creative when I am dead tired, that is when my mind starts too wander and it falls out of the rut it has found itself in. Mind you, some mushrooms (the legal kind, of course) can help too ;)
Practically every time I have to make an important decision in life, the answer to all my questions about it comes to me when I wake up in the middle of the night, like a flash, an evidence. Isn't it said in French that night brings advice?
Most times than not, I always get an idea of what to draw next right after work.
