Beware the upcoming "Apple Tax"

In November, Apple is going to start charging a 30% fee on any new Patreon subscription made from the iOS App. This means that if you try to support us (or any other creator on Patreon), and you do it from the iOS App, it will cost you 30% more than what you pledge. Mortze and I won't get any of that extra money, nor will Patreon. It'll all go to Apple.

The good news is that this tax won't affect subscriptions you already have. The better news is that, if you make a new subscription, you can avoid the extra money by subscribing from anywhere other than the iOS app. This includes doing it from:

• A web browser

• A PC

• The Android app

You can keep using the iOS App to access Patreon and read posts from the creators you support. Just don't change your subscription amount or make a new one from within the iOS App.

Everyone (other than Apple...) finds this extremely frustrating, but we're powerless to stop it.
