Imperial Mandalorian commando helmet

Here it is :) I'm sure you don't wanna hear my rambling but start printing, so i'll make this short :) download link is at the end of this message :)

The helmet is as always designed with 3d easy 3d printing, accuracy and easy assembly in mind. It can be printed on small (prusa type printers) , and there is also a 1/6 version for small scale printing.

One thing I haven't seen anyone make is the neck seal, it has an easy to put on/off mechanism as well as a built- in system that will allow it to just fall off if you remove your helmet as you usually would ( just in case one were to panic).

Now be advised, I don't recommend wearing hard plastic around your neck so do that at your own discretion, but I did take some steps to make it usable/wearable regardless with reasonable safety :)

Oh and as i'm typing this i have forgot to add the wireframe cutouts for helmet scaling - if you're not familiar with those, the wireframe cutouts are something i have came up with many years ago when i started making my first helmets that allow you to scale the helmet properly without the need to print out the entire thing. Since then many other vendors have adopted that original idea of mine, so you might be familiar with it, but i will add it as soon as i get back to my pc :) however it was a perfect fit for me head size :)

Hello! So i would like to print the base helmet all as one piece, and then piece the details separate. The fully combined stl in the folder is filled solid and with all the details. Tried to see if the shells were able to be separated in meshmixer but unfortunately no. also tried seeing if the dome, face and back piece aligned in meshmixer so i could just combine myself but to no avail as well. Would it be possible to get a helmet base stl for this? minus the detail pieces as mentioned.

Unfortenatelly that is not possible. As you most likely know with over 1300 members, everyone would want a file to be tailored specific to their own personal needs, and that is not possible as i am not able to make so many versions on each project . i will however add another option with face, dome and back piece combined minus the details as they are split now - if that one would work for you :)

I thought the bridge of the nose was glass, similar to how a Mandalorian has a T-Visor. I didn't realize until now that it was just painted black to look that way.

Yeah, there are some details in there :)

Hey Marko, could you add full helmet combined. That one is fully sealed just for scalling purposes and maybe someone want one shot that one. Thx

Sure, will add it :)

Epic as always. I wish the Roman helmet had a neck seal. But at this stage I know it would be too much work.

Honestly not a big fan of neck seals - it gets super hot in there, limits air flow, locks in the neck making it a health risk, so even tho i added it here i would not advise the use of it unless on display piece :)

Can the seal be done in a flexible material?

M
MysteryMakers · May 1, 2023

Sure, but still, be cautious when using the neck seal :)
