Pro tip - Adding cuts and assembly pins to helmets with thin walls

Every time I release a model, no matter how I split it, there’s usually someone who wants to have it split in a different way :)

And honestly, that’s totally fine — we all have our own preferences, workflows, and ways of doing things. Buuuuut the problem was always: if you move the cuts, that means losing the assembly pins… right?

Wrong :)

Here’s how you can place your own cuts on thin-walled helmets while still keeping the convenience and strength of assembly pins.

So instead of trying to make one “perfect” cut setup for everyone, let me show you how you can do it yourself in just a few minutes :)

That being said, I will still provide cuts where I think they work best, but if you wish to cut it differently, just use some of the tips you see here :)
