(new download) NCR Ranger Helmet _ Fallout TV show

Sorry this one took a while, guys… but there’s a reason. I actually restarted it twice from scratch. References were extremely limited, so a lot of this came down to carefully estimating the shape flow and reconstructing the parts as accurately as possible.

And even though it might not look like it at first glance, this turned into a massive project — the NCR Ranger helmet as seen in the final episode of Fallout Season 2

One feature I’m especially excited about is the customizable mesh grids on the respirator and inner ear sections. You can fully control the size, thickness, and style of the mesh. I’ve included a photo guide and 3MF file so you can easily create your own variations and get the exact look you want.

As usual, everything you need is included:
• STL files
• 3MF files
• Fully assembled build for Helmet Scaler
• Regular visor option
• Mesh visor option
• Vacuum forming template
• Pre-cut parts
• Fully combined parts

You know the drill :)

I’ll be continuing with the rest of the NCR Ranger parts soon, but I wanted to drop this as a little Valentine’s gift to you all

Happy printing, guys !!!

what supports did you use on the split helmets? i get failure after failure on both halves. I dont even get to 10% without failure and all my other files print perfectly fine

There is a 3mf file in there with support settings and print orientation included. Quite a few people printed it allready without any problems so we can be 100% sure there is no issues with the files as it would fsil for them as well. To be even more sure, It is not possible that the file would somehow cause a failed print - the file can either slice or not slice if its faulty and i do all kinds of checkups to ensure there is never an issue with any of my files :) only thing that can cause a failed print is rotation/support placement and speed / extrusion settings, so lets check those :) Feel free to send me a message with your screenshots and where it fails for you so i can help further, but you can rest assured there is absolutelly no issues with thr files :) Or you can just use my 3mf wich is rotated, presupprted and ready for printing :)

This looks straight fire. And thank you for the mesh visor. I sometimes do the helmets for kids and they don't like standard visors. And mesh filters are the chef's kiss.

No problem at all :)

I've been waiting for this to drop, and I've been excited to start using the helmet scaler with it. However, can you use 3MF files with the scaler? The Insert Helmet STL wasn't seeing the file, so I had to drop the 3MF into my slicer and save it as an STL before I could pull it in. If I'm a fool and I missed something, call me out! Either way, I am happy to have an excuse to clean off the Neptune 3 Max and use it again!
