MURDERBOT HELMET ready for download :)
It is DONE !!!!
I’m happy to report that the way i wanted to design the helmet in pieces is now completed and ready for printing :)
now this might be a bit tricky to print to some of you , but thats why we have the awesome FB gruop for tips/tricks and supports, and i also added the 3mf's with orientation and support info to help you :)
So , Here’s what you’ll find in this project
Two build options:
1 - Split by material – great if you want to print parts in different materials or colors, or make painting easier.
2- Combined large parts – for those who dont like to mess with many parts
Visor options:
There’s a vacuum forming template if you want to make a clear visor.
Or, you can resin print the visor and polish it to be see-through.
Build-friendly features:
Tiny keys on the helmet parts to help you align and connect everything perfectly.
A .3mf file with all the correct print orientation + support info.
And for small printer users: a 2-part split of the biggest piece, so everyone’s covered!
back plate has a magnet connection so its easier to put on / off
Thanks again for your support and patience on this one guys — can’t wait to see your builds!

I’m vac forming and tinting visors at 100% and 108% size if anyone wants to buy them (if that’s ok with Marko)?
sure :) you can make a post in FB group, or drop me a message when you have one, i can share on IG with your contact info so people can get in touch :)
A couple bits of feedback for the Murderbot helmet files. I think they're terrific but... • Would be nice if there was a multi-part STL where the helmet is fully assembled so it can be brought in to scaling software such as Armorsmith as a single part, scaled and exported keeping everything relative. I did my own re-assembly for this purpose but its a nice customer service feature to supply it like that. HINT: Your "Big parts combined" STLs would have been perfect for this if the parts were 'grouped' instead of merged into a single body. • You have a part simply called "plate.stl" that doesn't appear in any of your images or assembly video. Moving things around in CAD it looks like it covers one of the existing plates at the back of the head: There seems to be matching dimples. But you should updated your assembly photos and videos. https://imgur.com/gallery/start-of-murderbot-cosplay-scaling-progress-bVXxrS1
i have now added everything you asked for :) the fully merged but can be split into parts option is being uploaded this very moment - it is in the stl folder - it was created before but it has 163 MB due to all the details and people usually experience their slicers/softwares crashing when "splitting" the parts - and "non manifold" errors can apear even tho they are not there- so just be aware of that - but since it was requested it is now added :) the part called "plate" is in all images and assembly videos - it is the top of the head - the wider strip - some people experienced a thin wall issue with this bit, so i added another one, thicker as a second option if you would to use a larger nozzle for whatever reason and experience the thin wall issue as well , so any problem that might arrive has been fixed upfront - that one does exist in all photos and you can see me in the video assamble it to the top of the helmet at 0,32 sec :) the link to the image you provided is corrupt, it can't be opened, so i can't see it :/
Loving this - late to the party but it's great. I'm finding I am a perfect fit for the helmet *except* for the ear round pads which are the only 'thick' part of the helmet. Is this thicker here for structural integrity or just for your head? I've done a 3d model comparison against my head and that's the only interference area. If the ear circles were thin-walled to the bare minimum thickness for 4-ish perimeters it would be perfect for me :D
Love the helmet! I just had a question regarding sizing, the main helmet fits pretty tightly (mostly by the ears due the it needing to me modeled inward for the ear caps) but the chin goes outward about an inch from my own. I was just curious if this was how it should be? Due to the tightness already on the main helmet I wouldn't be able to scale it down without deforming the whole shape.
yeah this one is a bit on the tighter end on the inside, so will need a bit more upsacle compared to the other ones. now keep in mind most helmets have some room for padding as well. also, not all of us have the same head proportions and shape sizes , so whe i make these models i usually make them as close as possible to the references, and size them to my own head wt 585 mm cirumference. if you are having trouble with some, please just drop me a message to patroen inbox, we can look over them toegether and figure it all out :)
For the 2 part split. What size magnets did you use to connect? Unless I'm looking at it completely wrong (definitely possibly. I'm new to this). Seeing all your stuff makes me want to buy a large format printer. Also a big thanks to you for all the amazing work.
thank you :) those are slots for 5x5 pins - they are in the stl folder - on parts that are too big for your printer and have to be cut i always use 5x5 or 8x8 pins, for like 6-7 years now, they are used to combine those parts that are too big for your printer so you have to glue those in as they do not get separated later - i only use magnetson parts that are meant to come apart :)
Note sure about this line: "And for small printer users: a 2-part split of the biggest piece, so everyone’s covered!" It does not fit on a Prusa Mk4 which is one of the most popular size of printers.
have an mk4s, when i mention small printers , thats the bed size i use :) here is a screenshot of it on the mk4s sliced :) https://ibb.co/DfLmp5C4
Is there a mesh visor? If not could we please get one?
just added it :)
So just become Patreon member and I’m unable to find the download link for this model. I also checked your Etsy store to see if I could purchase. The model doesn’t seem to be listed. Can you help me figure out how to get the downloaded design files for this model that you’ve created? Thank you.
hey, the downlaods are on the main page in the posts section, here it the link :) but i will also send it all to your patreon inbox so you have all in one place :) https://www.patreon.com/posts/june-2025-work-117444806
Is this for the 23" or 24" head?
585 mm circumference
Love the show! Is it possible for the black visor to have a mesh option?
added it :)
Amazinggg
thank you :)
This is awesome! I love that show!
it is quite fun :)
