Fallout time :D
Ok this was one of the most technically challenging project i might have created so far , but daaaaamn it's gonna be a badass piece, and since you've asked for some fallout stuff, there will be more :D
If you ever wondered what 50 work hours looks like on a single 3d modeling project, here it is :)
I spent quite some time on the build approach so in the end all of it could be easy to print, but also easy to put together and actually be strong enough to use! Don't want this to fall apart in your hands :D The gears and chain teeth were especially challenging
To make all of that possible I decided to approach the design by creating 5 model groups that come together in the end. Each group is then further split into smaller parts, to make it easy to print and use and once it's all done it fits together nicely like a big puzzle piece :)
I love solving complex designs like this, so I calculated in quite some tolerances to make it all work :)
As you might have noticed by now, i don't just pop up 3d models and let you figure out the rest, i much rather spend extra time to create an entire project and solve everything there is to solve you have easier time printing it and more fun with assembly rather than trying to figure out what's going on and how to cut parts :)
To recap, included extras are:
- project instruction / guide pdf
- 3mf files split into groups for easier use as well pre sliced and added support the way i will print it
- stl files split into groups for easier use
- "tubes" that can be both 3d printed, or you can use real ones for added realism effect
- presliced for minimum support needed
It all fits on regular sized print bed like (200x200x200)
Lets see this bad boy, fire up the printers :D

Shishkebab Sword (Fallout 4) next! LOVE YOUR WORK! https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Shishkebab_(Fallout_4)
Amazing model! Am I missing something, which pins are we supposed to use? An STL I can't find or just 5mm dowel?
its 5x5 pin, they are usually used in most of my builds, so i sometimes forget to add the stl pin files to the folder. i added it now :) its a 5x5 pin, used for connecting the parts :)
I started printing it too, I find it a bit small for an adult, may be it's just me?
The feel of it is playign tricks on you. It looks super huge on photos, but the size is much shorter than an average sword, its not supposed to be huge, we only imagine it that way. You can be sure by matching the grip, if the grip is a good fit, its a good size
This model is awesome, I started printing it yesterday and noticed that G1.stl is missing. I see it in the 3mf folder under grip, but not in the stl folders.
you sure ? i jsut went again to check it, and its in there :)
Could this fit real life chainsaw chain if the chain could be taken out of the model? Also would love to have Power Armor <3
Haha no, that wouldnt work :)
Holy crap does that look amazing!
Thank you Steve, was quite a project to tackle :)
This is fantastic! Any helmets from this game/show? I’m going to need a bigger room to store things in lol
we’ll see what they show us in the show :) but its possible :)
Never played fallout and but holy heck this is amazing
haha thank you :) give it atry if you can, i didnt spend too much time in the game unfortenatelly, but maybe in the future :)
cough... Shishkebab... Cogh cough now that you have a nice "base" to work with. :) can't wait to see what Amazon has come up with.
thank you :D yeah lets see what they did :D
I’m not necessarily a Fallout fan, but sweet Jesus, this is bad ass! I wish we could watch a video of you drawing stuff like this up! Even a time lapsed one would be cool to see. Spectacular work, Marko!
thank you so much :) at some point once the numbers are a bit higher :) right now i work whenever i can however i can, as its quite hard to squeeze 50 work hours into just few days, but its working so far :D haha
Well damn..... ;)
haha :D
cough.... mini nuke & fatman launcher cough...cough...
god damn that's sweet 👀
not gonna lie, i am quite proud at that project :D
I just want to say thank you - too many builders don't actually take the time to build things to actually be used/printed. I've ran into this a lot trying to print cosplay for my daughter. Your work is fantastic!
this means allot, really !!! :) thank you :) i was always more inclined towards quality vs quantity and somehow i would like to think i have a healthy ratio going on when it comes to those :)
Another Marko masterpiece of prop engoneering, time to print and find out, but something tells me yes. Now of you can just get me a shiskabob to go with the massive t60 hand I need a weapon for
haha :D we'll see what the props looki like when the show starts, quite excited to be honest :)
I wonder what other Fallout models he’ll make next!
we'll see :D haha
Yesssssss
LETS GOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
go go go :D looking forward to some photos :)
YEEESSSS
Cheese and crackers this is why I give this man money. Holy crap. I don’t even like fallout but I will make this.
hahah thank you so much buddy :D it was half way thru i realized, daaaaamn this is gonna be more complicated than i thought , but quite happy with how it turned out in the end :)
