Arc 6 thus continues! In directions unexpected and unexplored. I mean, until you read the chapter, I guess, then they will be fully explored, by definition? I suppose! Anyway, here we are once again, and Octavia is up to her chin in other magical girls. Ahem. Pun intended. I think.
I also think there might be just 2-3 chapters left in this arc! Maybe! Hard to be certain behind the scenes, as always, but it's getting there! In the meantime, dear readers, I know I say this very often, but I hope you enjoy this chapter just as much as I enjoyed writing it! Thank you!

Hehe! I know, it's one of the most evil I've done. But it had to happen, or else the next possible stopping point would have been another 2-3k words onward. Does make me feel like a supervillain, though!

Things aren't looking good for Octavia. Will Bright have the self control nesscecary to not blow up right then and there, thereby outing herself to Scarlet Edge? Probably not.
Bright does have a rather explosive temper, as she's previously proven. But she's never transformed in front of her sister before ... so maybe she'll keep the rage for later.
And yes, obviously I immensely enjoyed this chapter, as I always do with your wonderful writing 🥰 now I get to look forward to the next one!

Ohhhh shiiiiiiit, Murphy's Law hit like a train with immediately running into Bright in the hallway as they leave! Will she immediately react?? Somehow clamp down on it for now?? Agh, this is another evil cliffhanger of a very different sort, and speaking of that shower! Hot damn! That was so vulnerable on so many levels, for both of them! Also Octavia's inner voice really told us just how pessimistic she still is, and self critical. I do wonder what that whole time was like from Scarlets perspective, because she externalised surprisingly little of the negativity. I'm proud of Octavia and Scarlet here! The little nid of permission, the vulnerability but pushing through for Octavia, accepting that Scarlet looked at her with interest and wonder, the attempt to understand from Scarlet around Octavia's limbs, showing her own scars, the pride Scarlet felt, also that woof! And staying there after coming down from it! That whole shower was wonderful in many awkward vulnerable but beautiful ways. Also Octavia's first orgasm!! From a girl too! 🎉 Hahaha and her trying to not dwell on it afterwards 😂 this chapter captured me fiercely! It was a very real natural moment that led to Scarlet getting Octavia off, and it was beautiful. I actually can't think of a better way that could have happened the first time. Natural, and organic. The revelation that Scarlet's been with other girls too was interesting, but more so the way she talked about it being weakness, but not this time, it's an echo if the language and way Octavia has been made to think about herself not being gay and the shane there too. And mystery! Who exactly is this cat?? Is it actually Scarlett's dream god? Another? Some other player in this unknown game entirely? And is Nerys ok??? And what led the cat here? Was it just hunting Zoogs?
From what we've seen of Bright thus far, she's not exactly a paragon of self-control, so ... an explosion may be building. Thank you for complimenting the shower sequence! I wasn't sure it was going to work at first; I had all these specific plans which fell apart very quickly, because Occy and Scarlet had other plans. But I'm very glad they did, and I'm quite happy with the result! Both of them being so vulnerable was quite a surprise. The bark came out of nowhere. Thank you so much, I'm really glad this part actually worked on the page. Mmhmm, Scarlet doesn't seem sexually repressed in the same way as Octavia, but she is perhaps a little traumatised in a parallel fashion. Mystery cat! From Scarlet's reaction, it was probably connected to her Dream-God patron somehow. As for what it was doing ... keeping an eye on Scarlet, maybe?
Quick just overwhelm her so much she short circuits "I just showered with your sister and she got me off. Also we like doing some SM roleplay, she barks for me."
Honesty might be the best policy! Perhaps she can just invite Bright to join them, solve the problem that way?
I suppose the aforementioned “Light” in the arc title is the pending “mysterious nuclear explosion” that will level half of Gloucestershire next week. (This chapter was SO GOOD HOLY FUCK)
