What's this? An Under Dunn video??

I really enjoy the Under Dunn content :)
I rewatched this today and noticed the SawStop logo on the table saw fence. Did you get an upgrade? I don't recall seeing mention of it in prior videos.
The time between me realizing Robert has the same drill as me and it catching fire on camera was shorter than ideal. The scary thing is that we also have the same car.
This Under Dunn guy reminds me of the Aging Wheels guy. I think he makes cameos in some of the ads.
I think he is, I'm not sure, he sounds SO MUCH like the aging wheels guy, but who knows
Watching you approach projects the same way I do is incredibly validating. Maybe it's a Rob thing (I'm also a Rob).
I have missed under dunn so much! Thank you Robert!
Great job and very entertaining :o)
Well-zazzed, love it!
And now you have a garage door in the main shop that you can replace 😬 video in about 10 years maybe 👌 anyways great to se another under Dunn video Robert
you made a really nice door.. even if it took longer than you expected
man, it is SO satisfying to complete a project that has been "pending" for years! i'm glad you're able to spend some time in the wood shop, Robert... and thanks for sharing your process—failures and all. p.s... don't forget to take time for yourself. we all love your content (and superb editing!) but care about your well being too. best wishes from the Land of the Midnight Sun!
What a delight to have an Under Dunn but in addition to kind of wanting a state of the fleet video I think we need a bird update
It's beet too long since the last Under Dunn video. I always enjoy these. Especially the assembly montages.
Holy Crapaccio its a new UnderDunn! If you don't mind my saying, That looks like a damn fine 2 year door, Sir.
Are pin nails the same as penny nails?
I had to look it up, and no. A pin nail is a 23 gauge nail with no head. I'm not entirely clear what a penny nail is now
Finding straight lumber shouldn’t be one of the hardest things in a project, yet here we are. I like the door. It’s functional, yet quirky (with pizzazz) *jazz hands*??? 🤗
I have something to look forward to, when I get back from my 6:30pm meeting (which ... is in 15 minutes). Robert Dunn Video? HELL YEAH!
I've always loved the drilling/nailing/etc montages where you just cut together just the parts that make noise to make a sort of better timelapse (eg 5:57). If you don't mind sharing, how do you do that? Is it all manual cuts or is there some sort of automation or tool that you use to make it faster? I've imitated the effect in some of my creations and I absolutely hate myself while cutting it manually. P.S. always love the woodworking stuff. Seeing mistakes is always helpful to an amateur like myself, even if I always find other mistakes to make.
I use a keyboard hotkey tool to combine a series of actions together with a key press, but aside from that it's manual. It's just a key press before each waveform spike
Aging Doors
@06:30 Doesn't hammering the insulation damage some its insulating properties? I always thought the air cells are part of the insulation system. I could certainly be wrong.
Only very slightly. I reduced the air volume by single digit percentages. The hammering reduced the thickness by a couple millimeters
