Sonic Boom, Dunk Shot, MVP & Excite League

Another System 16 week, the following new titles are supported now:

-Sonic Boom, a 1987 vertical shooter
-Dunk Shot, use the analogue stick to control the player
-MVP, a baseball game
-Excite League, another baseball game with obscure controls!

And the analogue-control versions of Action Fighter now operate using the analogue stick.

The reported problem with the US and world versions of E-SWAT in level 9th has eluded my efforts. SDI was also planned for today, but we found a problem when playing it in deep, so we had to remove it.

In other news, we finished extracting the schematics from Konami's Kicker, and we are starting the work on Toaplan's Kyukyoku Tiger schematics next week. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to extract the schematics to guarantee accurate reproduction of the games in FPGA. It is a very expensive process, but thanks to your support, we can now do it as part of the core development flow.

Thank you for your continuous support.

Juego, you are a genius and thank you so much for your hard work. I can't believe you said Mortal Kombat and posted a picture of CPS3. That is like seeing an early Christmas gift, even if it doesn't come out until next year or after. Take your time, enjoy the holidays and thank you again.

Hello jotego and thanks To work so hard i wait every friday what games will appear. I have a question. I can't play with vertical shooter on my astro city i can't rotate the screen in the option but i can on my hdtv. Do you think there will have an update for this in the future? Thank you

Although I have been able to add flip to other arcade machines that didn't have it; for System 16 it is not possible unless we use the frame buffer. That's an option already available if you play a bit with the MiSTer settings. It adds one frame of lag, though.

Nice, an obscure Sega shmup! Plays perfectly although Boss's death frames remains on screen during stage intermissions. Good game, hard as balls!

Thanks for your help. Update all script can now update beta cores and not only public releases ? And then I just have to put jtbeta.zip in games/mame to unlock the beta for Patreon user right ? I'll give it a try tmrw because I'm pretty sure that when I start sfa3, the message is beta.zip is missing and not jtbeta.zip.

Hi, when the update all script starts to run it will give you an option to config it. If you do this it will give you option to download beta cores from other sources. Check out this link at 3 minutes in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0entIaLggAY&t=453s

It's been a long time I didn't update my beta files. But I'm lost. Could someone make an archive with all the latest beta versions and the corect beta.zip / jtbeta.zip, bcause I cant' manage to make mx5000, cps2, system16.... working at the same time without any "beta warning message".

Pretty sure you just need the latest jtbeta.zip and run the update all script to get the latest versions of those cores that support the new jtbeta.zip.

Thanks Jose for your awesome work bringing more games to the masses. I also appreciate the effort spent investigating the issue with E-Swat. Sooner or later the little bug will crawl out of its hole and you will squash it.
