Torte Druid - 3D Sketch
Hey folks! Got started on the sculpt of the Tortle druid, here ;)
Not going for something super flashy or fancy on this guy. Went for a simple staff and shield equipment.
Still need to tweak a few things here and there on the pose and composition, but it already gives a decent idea. His shield should be either a bunch of long broken planks, or a piece of solid bark. I think I'll cover the top part of his shell with mushrooms and such ^^

Aye, please do make the shield optional. I'm sure it'll look ace as always, but I don't think I've ever heard of druids using shields... and shield+staff seems... a perculiar choice? (no offence intended here)
Almost all Tortle druid artworks I came across had this exact equipment. Staff and shield. So idk.. ^^
IDEA: How about a Tortle Chieftan for this clever clan of testudines (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/testudine)... maybe he wears a sharkskin cloak with its head as a hood?! ;)
I like the bark shield idea. Make it a strip of redwood bark for that extra fire resist ;)
Or... make the shield a big old piece of gnarly bark.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I had in mind :D
Like the idea of mushroom and all better than the shield! In my opinion I say loose the shield 😉
Guess I'll find a way to have the right arm separate so you guys can swap the shield for something else ;)
