In reality it’s so I didn’t have to look at reference photos of bloody tarantulas for six hours.
BTW the stat block officially calls them Great Big Hairy Fucking Spiders, and you gain Vices when you attack them because they’re so creepy.

something i've really enjoyed about your art these last several years (aside from the sex and jokes and worldbuilding and sex😋) is the amount of detail you put into the clothing and equipment everyone uses: thicc leather boots, gloves, belts, satchels, etc., gorgeous fabrics, neat weapons, intricate armor, and so on! and the amount of thought you put into architecture alone is mind boggling😲
