After my wife went AWOL a year ago leaving me and our dog, we have spent everyday together and have developed an amazing bond. She has got me through some tough times. I thought about getting a new wife but to be honest, I'll stick with the spaniel

Our dog died in January, at age 16 so she had a great run. it never fully occurred to me exactly how much a dog improves a household and brings joy / raises the mood of the family until she was gone. The house definitely feels like a more empty, lifeless place now than it did before. If you look after a dog well it looks after you. You can look at it like having a kid that never reaches the age where it starts to hate you haha

I had to give my dog an extra snuggle tonight after watching this. Dogs, along with all pets really do teach you about how precious that love, time and life is. We are all only here on this crazy ride for a tiny blip in the large scale of things. It is the best to prioritize the things that are truly important.
