GAAARGH!! I HAVE MADE A THING!!
CLÄPP is an easy to use, great sounding device for Ableton Live that redefines how a synthesized clap should sound.
Make realistic clap tracks instantly - Claps generated in real time using physical modelling instead of samples.
Stop searching through loop libraries - No more repetitive loops, CLÄPP Never repeats and sounds real.
Binaural Stereo - realistic mono-friendly sound field that simulates perfect dual mic setup without the hassle of setting up mics and clapping into the mic.
Save Time - Effortlessly change the timing, thickness, panning and feel of your clap track at any time in the production process as your track evolves.
The ubiquitous 808 and 909 drum machine clap sounds are in so many tracks that we've practically forgotten that they were supposed to be earnest attempts at synthesising hand claps. In the early 1980's that was the best they could do, but if we're being honest, they don't sound very much like clapping.
If you're producing a tune and you want a realistic clap track. You have two options. Either record a few bars of clapping which you will probably want to then edit, or page through tons of clap recordings in loopcloud or whatever to find a loop that inspires you and may or may not fit your song, which you will probably want to edit. Both approaches kinda suck. Both take you out of the flow of your idea as you are attempting to birth it into the world before you lose momentum, and both take valuable time. What's more, you can't easily change the feel in post with either of these solutions. Enter, CLÄPP, a clap synthesiser for a better tomorrow. There will be more features to come, and anyone else buys this version will get updates as features get added. But for now, it is a simple but great sounding way to get a realistic clap track that never repeats, can be changed in post and magically occur in an instant.
