GAH, slipped up on posting the timelapse yesterday! While waiting for the export to finish, I got sidetracked doomscrolling my Twitter feed until I got sleepy and knocked out ๐ The algorithm knows me too well - it keeps showing me cool art that I want to learn from, and then if I slow down my scrolling, it hits me with cat videos just to keep me roped in by cuteness. The audacity!
There's actually not too much to go over in this comic! I don't think I tried out any new techniques for this one - I just had the idea for a pillow fight using Veronica's natural "pillows", and the story kinda told itself; good clean(?) fun between two besties. I realize now that Mona's getting pretty comfortable having her eyes closed for most of the comic! She truly is her mother's daughter, I suppose - all she needs now is to double her ass size.

Admittedly, I've been a WEE bit distracted these past two days, because I finally picked up a Switch 2 for that new Mario Kart game! Yay! I actually haven't owned any Mario Kart games since 64 when I was a kid, but the trailers for World made it look so neat and lively that it reminded me of that same childhood whimsy. But JEEZ, when did games start getting this expensive? It feels like it hasn't been that long since games started selling for $70, and now we're hitting $80? Blegh. When games eventually hit $100, it better be because technology has advanced so far that we can now fuck videogame characters in VR; haptic feedback suits and everything. If that happens, I'll resume development on Headspace for you guys so Stella can annihilate your balls (/j)
The Switch 2 itself is pretty cool, but it kinda just feels like a slightly-slicker version of the original Switch. Would I recommend it? Honestly... maybe not right now - I think it'd be safer to wait for a few more games to come out. Mario Kart World is definitely fun, but I wouldn't consider it a must-have, console-seller title. Maybe when there's a new Zelda in the works...? ๐

In the world of Veronica and Mona, here's a little sneak-peek of the first panel in this upcoming comic:

Looks like Veronica's having pizza for dinner! Nothing out-of-the-ordinary here, and certainly not any reappearing side characters from previous comics; no, sir. The colored word bubble is simply there to deceive you.

That's all for now, but I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend! Take it easy out there! ๐
