Progress Report #111 - Happy Halloween!

Hey lads!

I bet that you are wondering if v32 gonna come out or get delayed again, and I don't blame you, since I didn't write a progress report in a long time. When I have shitloads of work and I'm crunching, I prefer to focus on work, while preparing a long and detailed progress report can take up to a few hours. I know, it's very unprofessional from me and I apologize, but I've never wanted to work in PR... :v

Anyway, to the point. v32 will come out October 30th, so right before the Halloween, but it won't happen without limitations & sacrifices. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't feel like working on porn content due to the recent events mentioned in the previous progress reports, thus I focused on other non-porn features to not waste my time doing nothing, but it still took me way more time than I anticipated. Although when I started working on the porn content, it was already too late to finish it properly, so I decided to cut it from the initial v32 release and restore it in mini updates all over the next month, starting with v32a within the first week of November. So yeah, October's v32 will be mostly Halloween backgrounds, fixes, character art update, new moans, trait system remake.

Public release v31d BA will appear together with the v32 release, so also on October 30th. Btw. v31d EX can be already bought on itch.io.

There were other features that I worked on and wanted to include in v32, like sex cut-ins (which you could see in the previous progress reports) or Primary Needs (where you have to eat, sleep & piss or face various consequences, including sex events), but I got overwhelmed by the amount of work, so they will come in v33/v34, as I want to focus on sex & NTR stuff for v32 now.

I wanted to show you new moans, but I kept postponing recording them together with writing progress report that at this point I believe it's futile. Well, maybe I'll record something early November once I have a bit more time... There will be 3 moan variants and Jane will make different sounds based on her current facial expression while in the dialogue (chance of it triggering is adjustable).

As mentioned above, initial v32 won't have sex scenes, but in November I want to focus more on non-vaginal sex events, so expect stuff like anal, for example. More NTR stuff will also appear, as I already have some drafts for new scenes. If v32 won't be that bugged, I should be able to add handful of sex content.

We've updated naked character art of both females and males, aside for necks & heads (we didn't have time to do everything and more will come in November). Female lips numbered 1-6 got re-made from scratch in a similar artstyle as existing lips 7-10. We didn't have time to carefully test everything, while detailed art is more prone to fuck up animations.

Another major feature is re-work of traits. Previously, you could pick up to 3 positive traits and had to pick equal number of negative traits. It caused few problems, like, some perks were really strong or really weak, so people would pick strong positive and weak negative. Also, you could pick only 3 positive traits while there's around 40 to choose from, so a lot of brainstorming. Now, each backstory starts with around 15 Trait Points (TP) to spend on traits. Positive traits cost between 2-6 TP, while negative rewards 1-3 TP, so you can pick 2-3 really strong traits or like 6 weak ones without the need of picking any negative ones, while picking strong negative traits give you more TP than weak ones to spend on positive traits. Yeah, taking over dozen of traits is possible now, making some aspects of the game less annoying than ever and without the need of cheats. In the near future TP will be spendable in the game, too, but for now it can be used only during the character creation screen. Keep in mind that half of unspent TP will be lost and not all traits will be available to buy later! And lastly, your existing traits from v31 saves will be wiped out, but I'll reward you with TP to spend in the future. Sorry...

Sadly, no spooky soundtrack version for Halloween, because my composer is currently dealing with some heavy personal stuff, but at least there will be one for Christmas and we will start earlier to make everything ready beforehand, since Halloween was a bit rushed, indeed.

My flat has 2 rooms and less than 40m2, and as my kid gets bigger, more active and needs more attention, it's getting harder and harder to concentrate, and I'm not sure if my kid should see me working, lol. That's why I'm going to rent some small office somewhere nearby, but so far I couldn't find anything nice, but I'll keep looking. It will be a really great office - a desk, an armchair, a laptop and 2 monitors in some small room.
