14th September 2026: I wanted to wait a while to post these fixes, as I have a big update coming to SimU, but it's not ready yet, so this new version includes a fix for being unable to Edit papers, and not receiving the Ask About Career notification. Thank you to E., nonimparamai, and Duke for letting me know.
15th August 2026: Added a new injector to my modlibrary (You must DOWNLOAD THE NEW VERSION) based on januksenkosketus's to inject career entitlements the same way Discover University does. Now you'll be able to see exactly what level you'll start at before you join. I've also fixed an overlap with the Check For Results interaction. If you see "...still being marked," your Sim still has the hidden 'waiting' buff, and if you see "Results Are On Their Way!" the results are scheduled and should arrive the next working day at the latest.
12th August 2026: The dreaded Final Exam has become the bane of my existence! I've added yet another fallback to (hopefully) stop the waiting-for-results issue for good. If you grabbed the 4th Aug update and still couldn't get your results, head to a Computer and check again. They should now arrive!
4th August 2026: Fixed an issue with The SimU Signal publications; a big thank you to eminallc for letting me know. Also, re-fixed the issue with Sims waiting endlessly for final exam results. Because I rejigged so much tuning, it left a failure window for some players. If your Sim is currently waiting on results, they'll need to retake the Final Exam, and results will be delivered within a few hours/a game day. I've also added a new interaction that lets Sims check up on their results from Computer ā SimU. (Again, they'll need to retake the exam first).
Translators: I've changed and added a few strings, which I've listed here to make your job a little simpler. Thank you so much for bringing my mods to so many corners of the world and reaching so many players.

5th April 2026: Updated to 32-bit instance IDs for the Royalty & Legacy dlc (prevents dropped careers). If your Sim already had the career, a one-time LE may occur on the first load only.
Also added a shorter course, with 3 modules, and added some new cheats. You will need to rejoin SimU, but you can register for free and skip ahead with the new cheats. See the user guide for more info. I also added a new script to modlibrary also, offering a confirmation to stop accidental module deletion.
Make sure to delete the old version, as the file names have changed.

Ever since I released SimU: Online Degrees & Skill Classes almost 2 years ago, I've learned so much, and I've been wanting to do more with it since. So here's the release candidate: a brand-new mod, built from scratch, that includes a TON of features. And the best part? It's 100% Base Game Compatible, with full mod and pack compatibility too.

TL;DR: Already taken the Final Exam but your results never arrived? I've added a safety guard to prevent this, so you'll need to retake the exam. You can keep track of your results afterward by checking your Sims' buffs or heading to Computer ā SimU ā Check Final Exam Results.

Hello, first of all thank you for everything you do! You are the most meticulous and creative Sims 4 CC creator there is imho. I'm encountering a slight issue with this mod ā ever since I downloaded it, the Ask for Career option in social interactions doesn't work ā the game runs the interaction just fine, it just doesn't register, I don't get the pop-up nor the info in the other Sim's panel. No LE. I've 50/50ed it to SimU
Is the simu online classes still okay to use?
As in the separate mod? You can, but this includes them.

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for this mod. I absolutely love it and am having a blast playing it!I just wanted to report two small obstacles I ran into during my playthrough:Degree Task Bug: I got an assignment to read something specific to my degree, but it won't mark as completed. My Sim actually maxed out that specific skill before starting the academy, so I wonder if having a pre-maxed skill prevents the task from tracking properly.Missing Exam Results: After taking the final exam, the results never arrive. When checking, the game always says it is still being marked and will take time. I waited 3 in-game days and even tried retaking the exam, but it stayed stuck. I eventually had to use cheats to manually give my Sim the degree.Feature Suggestion:I was also wondering if there is a way to link the degrees directly to the game's careers so Sims get a higher starting pay or a career boost? For example, when my Sim "completed" the Culinary Arts degree and looked for a Chef/Baking job, the pay was still quite low. It would be amazing if the degree dynamically boosted their career success!Thank you again for all your hard work on this amazing mod!
Hi Fafi, I'm glad you're enjoying it. For the reading assignment, is it the Read Subject Material one? You have to use the specific interactions mentioned in the objective tooltip. The exam results are proving to be a tough cookie. I've added another fix, which I'll upload shortly. The mod does include career boosts, though. If you start at level one, you'll be offered a boost.
I am struggling to make SimU work in the game. I have enabled mods (other mods are working) but I don't get the option on the computer for SimU. I've downloaded the mod library and SimU mod. Please could you advise on what I haven't done/need to do? :)

Hey Midnitetech! i LOVE LOVE this mod and have honestly been waiting for a way for sims to attend courses virtually for some time. My sims however, hardly gain skill in what they're studying. is this normal? Like for jobs, they wont have the skills required, where it looks like they don't even have a degree.

hey, two things: i took my final exam and ive been waiting for results for over 3 days. i just took another one and the same thing happened. another thing, when i publish under simu signal, thereās an error and my simās entire queue deletes and it stops. canāt publish anything on there! thank you in advance.

Hi, I want to say thank you for this mod I am loving this mod a lot. I do have a question I am trying to add the academic aptitude skill as one of my getaway activities and I can't seem to find it in the list when I am making the getaway. I would like to know if this is a thing that we can do in your mod or not cause that would be really great if I can get the sims to do the homework on their own instead of pushing each sim at a time just to do the homework but if this is not something that you had added I can find another way instead. My sim was drinking tea and went to the computer to pay tuition, and everything got reset. It happens every time I try this. Registering with SimU while drinking tea did work.

What if my sim is waiting for their Dissertation results, will updating SIMU break her ability to get her results/diploma?
You can either wait for the results before updating, or update and follow the instructions in the user guide to catch back up. The exam is the final stage rather than the dissertation.

hi, i had been using SimsU Academic Life mod for months now, however, after this last patch, the option of SimsU has disappeared from my game. i have made sure that the Lot51 and the modlibrary were both current which they are. i have repaired the game and also removed all other mods from the folder and nothing seems to help. I play on a Macbook if that makes any difference. does anyone know what else i may be able to try?

i love this mod! However, my Sim is doing a physics degree, got to the final module final task to "get dissertation approved"... when I returned to the home lot after travelling with another Sim, I got a pop up that said his dissertation had been assessed as "adequate" but the task did not complete. I used the cheat to award him his degree anyway but it's still sitting in the work section with that task incomplete. I'm not sure whether that means he needs to complete another dissertation that's higher than 'adequate' in order to get the degree or whether theres a bug in the mod. Thanks!
Hi Natalie, Hmm, that's odd. When that pop-up is seen, it adds the buff to the Sim to mark the objective complete after a waiting period of around 24 hours post-exam. You can, however, do it manually with sims.add_buff midnitetech:simu_buff_hidden_dissreviewed

hey i commented a couple of months ago about after completing the final exam my sim never receives the results there for can not graduate. I've updated the mod to the latest but it still won't work. I dont know whether it just my game or something I'm doing wrong.

Hi, it's because it's BGC mods with no overrides. I do plan on adding compatibility for the DU aspiration soon, though.
I really love this iteration of the university mod, and I've played with it on nearly every save! There is one problem I've been having though. I've noticed that assignments, like editing papers, can take my sim over 16 game hours, and my progress isn't saved if I quit in the middle. Is this how the mod is meant to function? If so, is there a way to adjust the speed of assignments (using MCCC university homework settings or otherwise)?
Hey, that's really weird; I've never encountered that before. The max time for editing is around 3 hours. The actual assignments vary in length, but all progress is saved. Which assignments in particular are you finding take over 16 hours? And have you tried with just my mods and Lot 51's Core Library installed? Let me know!
Thank you so much for this mod! All of the BFF household has now graduated! One thing I wish Iād known beforehand is that once the diploma is in the new graduateās mailbox, the name on the diploma will be the name of whoever picks up the mail. Iām having the same issue with the Noteworthy Notebook: when a Sim enters a competition, once the results are in the mailbox, the notification will mention the name of whoever picks up the mail, and that Sim will get the corresponding buff. In both cases itād be really nice if the names were those of the person who graduated / entered the competition, but if thatās not possible, some kind of warning in the mod descriptions would be great! Maybe the mod could have an interaction that lets players generate a diploma for the selected Sim, whether itās restricted to Sims whoāve graduated or available for any Sims. That could be a handy workaround. Anyway, thank you again, this is a really cool mod and Iāll be using it a lot!

**UPDATE: I use Kuttoe's Career Overhaul and when Liberty completed her physics degree, the goal "earn a technical degree" didn't tick off. Also, when her degree arrived in the mail, another sim collected the mail and the degree went into their inventory. Now it's their degree instead of Liberty's. Is there a way to cheat it so that Liberty gets the degree?** As someone who works in higher ed, I love this mod! One teensy issue to report: when Liberty was doing physics, module 3 at the library, the tips said to submit an evaluation when in fact, she had to submit a lab report. I figured it out nevertheless. Something went wrong there, for sure! Do you have the latest version? What does the module task say?
do you have like number versions for your mods? it just helps me to keep track of which version i have and what is the newest?
No, I decided not to include them in the file names, as a lot of people would end up with multiples of the same mod. You can always check the last updated date on my website (midnitetechmods.com) or in the changelog of the original posts.
got a issue with online lecture it will not finish at all it will go half way through and stop also that can be said for proofread assignment im on module 2 out of 6 for Criminology also im on the newest updated version
Hi Jonathan, I can't replicate your issue. Which lecture in particular? Any of them? And Proofread is working for me, too. Do you have the old version in your mods folder? If not, try it with just SimU, my modlibrary and Lot 51's Core Library. Let me know how you get on.
Hey I just wanted to let you know that I think the skill gain progress may be too fast, as my sim managed to max one of her skills from just one assignment, i was just wondering if its possible you could fix that/slow it down? :) (i have no other mods that affect the speed of my sims skill gain), tysm for this amazing mod!

Hi! Are the degrees that come with this compatible with Kuttoe's Career Overhaul? The primary reason I was using the SimU mod was so that I can fulfil the degree requirements at home, especially for sims' spouses and siblings and such.

Hi! First I wanted to thank you for this amazing mod!! Ive been using it for a while and I absolutely adore it. In the past whilst I was using the old mod, I was using it with turbodrivers ultimate careers mod and never had any issues, but I saw one of your previous replies to another comment on this post stating that these 2 mods have compatibility issues -- so I was wondering if I had to remove turbodrivers UC mod in order for this mod to work properly because I cant get past the 1st module without the entire thing resetting and I cant cheat past it either. I apologize if this is a stupid question (and sorry to bother) but I'm just trying to be sure so I know which mod needs to be removed. Thank you in advance for your help!

Hii! I'm sorry to bother you again, but I'm running into another error, I think. I'm on the 6th module of the computer science career, and my sim needs to submit an application she built. I've already debugged and edited it. I'm supposed to go to the SimU tab on the computer and submit it, but there's no option to submit! Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Not sure... I love this mod so much but it's so different from the old one. The old one I could do while my sim was working and it felt like my personal online university experience which was nice. This one is an entirely new thing. For me it takes far too long, I spend almost all of my free time focusing on finishing the modules after work that it felt like I couldn't do anytrhing else. It took all of her young adult and adult life to finish one degree, which was a bit disappointing because it doesn't feel so realistic to do online uni while working. The mod itself is fantastic and I'm sure there are other things I could do to make it go faster, I just wanted to add my thoughts. TLDR: I love this mod, it isn't really doable while in work and in online uni though. This is all personal though. It is incredibly made and you are amazing.

Hi! Before I ask my question, I wanted to say that this is one of the best mods you've ever created, in my opinion. I've used your first one since it came out. It's been amazing for storytelling purposes. This one is the most immersive academic mod I've ever seen, and by far, the most comprehensive. I admire your work immensely. Thank you for what you do! Now my question - my sim has been working for two weeks (since birthing triplets!) on the first module of the Biology degree. (She's going to be a medical transcriptionist [RP]) but I've been stuck for three days on the assignment to conduct interviews. I finally managed to interview her boyfriend, but it's hard to get away from the triplets' needs to try to find people to interview. I've tried two friends, the mail carrier, two vendors and I can't interview any of them. I haven't been able to progress past 1/4. The option isn't available under the SimU menu or anywhere else. What do I do? Help! š
Thank you so much for your lovely message. If you check out the user guide in the description or the help menu in the SimU menu, in-game, it explains what to do. Sometimes goals get stuck (game issue), so you have to restart the module.

Anyway, I remember then, you were just a random who popped up on my TL, and you didn't have much to offer, but now, you're one of my go-to's. Folks know your name, and they know your content is top tier, tested, approved, and you stay loyal to upgrades and dedicated in a timely manner. Hi Ari, sorry, I should have mentioned it in my user guide, but you need to enable debug cheats with MCCC (Computer ā MCCC ā MCCC Settings ā Notification/Console/Menu Settings ā Console Command Settings) or TwistedMexi's AllCheats mod. Edit: If you want to redownload, I've changed it to a cheat rather than debug
I've run into an issue! My sim is in the Computer Science degree program with SimU. She has the Develop Security Skills task right now, but no matter how many times I have her "Practice Programming," it's not advancing. Her Programming skill is maxed out. I cheated it to lower it a few times to see if leveling up would solve the problem, but nothing. Do you have a workaround here? Or am I doing something wrong? Otherwise, I'm totally stuck. :(

Hi Ilana, did you use any cheats prior to that assignment being issued? Check out the user guide or the help section in-game; there are plenty of tips to get your Sim back to work! The easiest fix is to trash the module, and restart it.
I should delete the SimU files in the all-in-one folder before using this one, correct? I don't have all these features right now; just the option to register on the computer, complete coursework, and chat in the chatroom. I don't see a cheats feature when I shift click my sim either. I know I have an older version but do I need all the files or just this one?

I donāt have the module on the sims phone. Is that a different download?

I have now seen that this mod can be used in conjunction with Midniteās custom careers! You can study for a degree as you work through the aligned career! Blown away. This is a FOREVER mod xxxxxx
Really obsessed with this!! Loving the academic aptitude skill, itās probably my favorite feature. So many cool unlocks and it will make playing scholarly sims sooo much more fun from now on. Tysm for your hard work š¤

This is a replacement, and does all the old version did and so much more. If youāre using this one, thereās no need for the old one. Hope you enjoy it!
