Bad News Re: Penny Dreadful
Hey everyone. Unfortunately, it looks like I might not be able to provide full episode reactions to Penny Dreadful after all. :( I just tried to upload the first full reaction and it was immediately blocked due to copyright. Even though no video is shown, a claim was made regarding the audio. Usually, with audio claims I've seen, the entire video isn't completely blocked. Typically, it's just unable to be monetized. However, this video was blocked instantaneously. I'll try to look a little more into this and see if there's any way I can do full reactions for this series. It's not looking good at the moment though.
I'm currently in the process of editing down the full episode to a typical reaction video length. I'll post that video as soon as I can!

Sure, no prob. I just checked and the PD link is processing, so it looks like it will work but I will leave Sith a message and let you know what I find out :) I think the timer is the safest bet though.
Thank you! I think the timer probably is the best idea as well (at least, for the moment). To be honest, I'm now a little concerned about the edited reactions being banned as well. Some of my Hill House videos ended up being banned a couple of weeks after I posted them. My other videos that have gotten claimed (True Detective and Sabrina) have just not been allowed to be monetized - which is fine. None of my YouTube videos are currently monetized anyway. But those Hill House ones were totally blocked. After seeing that even the audio was considered cause for blocking this video, I'm a bit worried that Showtime might be very strict with their shows!
PD is such an amazing series,I hope we can find something that works. I understand if it can't work though. @SiTHFuRioN does full length PD reactions, I'm not sure of his setup but I can try to reach out to him and see if he has any suggestions. I think he does his with the on screen timer but not positive. Would you like me to ask?
That would be great, if you don't mind? It looks like the full version of the first episode has uploaded to google drive, so I'm going to try and post a link and see how it goes. However, I think if I could do full versions without audio/with a timer and avoid using drive, it would probably be better for everyone!

Most likely The Expanse will be up tomorrow evening. :) Hmm... that's not good about the notifications. I'll see if I can talk to someone at customer service!
Bummer. But it's due to the music I'm sure. I wonder if you could just turn off audio and use a timer on screen to be able and sync up with you? But like Dan said google drive is most likely the only other option. I can see why the music would get blocked. Thanks Molly <3
Oh that's definitely a possibility! I'll try making a google drive file for the first episode (it's currently uploading to drive and taking foreeevver). But putting a timer on screen might be the way to go for future episodes. I'm glad there might be options!
Just an FYI, most people seem to use services other than YouTube for full length reactions. I've seen a lot of Google Drive, but i've seen others used as well.... services that aren't automatically scanned for copyright claims, and you have to provide the exact link to patreon so users can find it. Thats how a lot of patreon creators provide full length video reactions.
