The Steam version of Shale Hill Secrets is pretty much the same as the Itch edition Gold+ Patrons already have access to — with one key difference: the animations in the sex scenes are now full HD videos (just like in Streaming For Love). We also caught and fixed a few typos during beta testing.
Spread the word!
As you all know, we’re a small indie studio, and your word-of-mouth is our greatest strength.
If you can spare a moment, please:
Share our Steam page in forums, Discord servers, social media — anywhere you think people would love the game!
Wishlist the Steam version (even if you own it on Itch, wishlists help us tremendously with Steam’s visibility algorithms!).
Most important: Leave a (hopefully good!) review once you’ve played the game for a few hours — those first reviews mean the world for indie teams!
Your support got us this far. Let’s make this launch a success together!
And, of course, thank you so much to all our supporters. You made this launch possible and your encouragement has meant a lot to the team. We’ve been working to get the game on Steam since November 2024, and these last few months have been quite a ride.
There’s one important thing to note: The current release of Shale Hill Secrets on Steam includes the entire base game — that is, all seventeen official chapters, covering the game from start to finish. In the future, we also plan to release the Epilogues and Platinum Bonus Scenes once we’re sure the base game is stable and bug-free.
Buy Steam Keys Through Patreon
We know Steam doesn’t allow +18 games in Germany and a few other countries, so we’ve launched our Patreon Shop, where you can buy a Steam key to activate the game.

Please note: this is intended as a workaround for those who can’t purchase the game directly on Steam. If you can buy it through Valve’s store, that’s actually much better for us — it helps the Steam algorithm give the game more visibility.
With love,
The Love-Joint Team

Just bought the game on steam, where do you find the cheat codes. Cheers
This question isn't related to the Steam version. But what's the difference between version 18.8 and 18.9? I downloaded 18.8 at some point and never finished the game, I recently came back and finished it, but I'm wondering if it's worth downloading 18.9? Does it have any content that's not in 18.8?
I'm dumb and can't figure out how to unlock episode 12 in steam. Could someone explain it to me?
You need to finish EP11 first until the very end.
Because I love this VN, I'll probably purchase the Steam version. However, I have a question that I need answered prior to purchasing. Does the storyline change "per harem member" if I choose to or not to include them? When I first completed the story, I was more concerned with getting all the achievements that a change in storyline would not have been noticeable. Maybe I should just ask if there changes to the storyline for any of the characters?
The main story remains the same for everyone. Not pursuing a girl's path means you'll miss her specific scenes. Naturally, some dialogues and scenes will differ to accommodate your choices, but the MC's fate remains unchanged. At the end of the final episode, however, you must choose one of the girls and that also lead to different scenes and endings
You had me at Maggie scenes in HD
Hey guys, please write a review on Steam if you can! It is REALLY important for us during the launch period
I don't play on Steam. But I'll wishlist ✅ it for you 👍🏻!
Thanks a bunch!
Done and done. Now for some more replays and to go achievement hunting!
