Mark Your Calendars: Shale Hill Secrets Hits Steam May 8!

Hey everyone!

Last Saturday, we let you know that Shale Hill Secrets was finally approved for sale by Steam Support. We’ve been figuring out the best time to launch on Steam, and after considering a few strategic factors, we’ve decided to officially release the game this Thursday, May 8th, 2025.

Special Launch Offer:

For the first 7 days, you can get Shale Hill Secrets on Steam with a 15% discount! Don’t miss this chance to support us and grab the game at a lower price.

it’s on!

We know the release date might seem a little sudden, especially since the game just got approved last weekend. But honestly, Shale Hill Secrets has been ready to go for a while now, and with the Steam release already delayed, we figured there’s no point in dragging our feet any longer. It’s definitely time to get the game out there!

The Steam version of Shale Hill Secrets is pretty much the same as the Itch edition you all already have access to, with one exception: the animations in the sex scenes are now full HD videos (as in Streaming For Love). We also caught and fixed a few typos during beta testing.

Spread the word!

As you all know, we’re a small indie studio, and your word-of-mouth is our greatest strength.

If you can spare a moment, please:

• Share our Steam page in forums, Discord servers, social media — anywhere you think people would love the game!

• Wishlist the Steam version (even if you own it on Itch, wishlists help us tremendously with Steam’s visibility algorithms!).

• Leave a review once you’ve tried it — those first reviews mean the world for indie teams!

Your support got us this far — let’s make this launch a success together!

And, of course, thank you so much to all our supporters. You made this launch possible and your encouragement has meant a lot to the team. We’ve been working to get the game on Steam since November 2024, and these last few months have been quite a ride.

There’s one important thing to note: The current release of Shale Hill Secrets on Steam includes the entire base game — that is, all seventeen official chapters, covering the game from start to finish. In the future, we also plan to release the Epilogues and Platinum Bonus Scenes once we’re sure the base game is stable and bug-free.

Heads up: We know Steam doesn’t allow +18 games in Germany and a handful of other countries. We think we’ve found a workaround, though, and we’ll share more details about that in an upcoming post once we have confirmed it'll work.

Stay foxy,
The Love-Joint Team
