Elite Workshop Day 2 — Let's make something you'd find in an art gallery!

Hey heroes! Thanks for the votes and comments yesterday! Let's make another item together!

These are loose item ideas based on the suggestions from yesterday's direction poll. Some of these may have had their ideas adjusted or combined with other like-minded suggestions. The final product may or may not use the original wording, so these are the core of the items' functionality and flavor.

Ideas

Apraiser's Eye — A bejeweled eye sculpture that can be used to cast the identify or legend lore spell using charges, although you still need the material components required for the spells when doing so. You can attune to the eye and implant it in your own empty socket, if you're missing an eye, to use these benefits and gain advantage on certain Intelligence (Investigation) checks, as well as see through it normally.

Statue of the Fairest — A stone bust of a maiden that looks forward. It has a passive Perception of X, and when a creature attempts to pick a lock, make a Stealth check, or make a Sleight of Hand check within its view, that creature is targeted by the flesh to stone spell. Once the statue casts this spell, it can't do so again for Y minutes.

Visage of the Lost — A blank mask that covers half of your face. You can use an action to cast the charm person spell from the mask, which lasts for 1 minute instead of 1 hour. For the duration, a creature charmed by the mask treats you as a missed connection or recently-remembered friend.

Planar Postcards — A set of rigid cards bearing the image of painted landscapes from various far-off lands. When found, a stack contains 2d4 of the cards. The GM decides what planes of existence are represented by the cards, which can be determined by a successful DC X Intelligence check. The postcards can be used as the material component required for the plane shift spell.

Dweller's Canvas — A magical scroll that can be used to transform a creature into a painting on a failed Charisma saving throw. If the creature is willing, it can choose to fail the saving throw. You decide what the painting looks like when you use the scroll. The creature remains there for up to 24 hours, but can repeat the saving throw against the effect at the end of every hour. The creature contained within the canvas looks painted, like a portrait, but can choose to move within the canvas and speak for the duration. The effect ends early if the canvas is destroyed.

Thanks for the suggestions! Let's make something fun this week!

Hard choice between the Eye or the Canvas.
