Durheim Censer Wondrous item, common A small censer box, shaped from stone into a shallow hexagonal pyramid. As an action, you can place a block of incense worth at least 10 gp into this box, causing it to completely burn instantly. The resulting wisps of smoke reveal the nature of the creatures around it in a 10-foot radius as different colors, shown on the table below. Creature Type | Smoke Color ---------------------------- Celestial | Gold Fey | Purple Fiend (demon) | Black Fiend (devil) | Red Humanoid | White Undead | Blue If no creatures in the area match the types listed, no smoke is produced and the incense is still consumed. If multiple creatures are in this area, a unique wisp of smoke will appear for each creature. If a shapechanger is in this area, its smoke will show as a random color. The divine nature of this magic is imperfect and there is a 10% chance that the smoke will not be depicted accurately, in which case the GM can choose the color, or randomly choose from the list.

[Monastery] Ascetic's Vestments (some nice friar's robes) A legendary garment that grants +5 bonus to your AC, to all attack/ability/saving throw rolls you make, and sets each of your ability scores to 23 if not already higher (or any other powerful effect you can think of, like universal resistance? really go for broke on this one)...as long as you are attuned to no other items and hold no more than 100gp worth of money or items on your person.

[Monastery] Meditation Pillow An ornate cushion for sitting on the floor or ground and meditating. While attuned and sitting on the pillow, a creature can long rest as though it has the elf racial Trance feature. If they do, they have advantage on the first Int, Wis, or Cha saving throw they make before resting again.

[Monastery] Planatary Polyglot Post Wondrous item, uncommon (requires attunement) This pearlescent earring made from the wing bone of a pegasus grants extraworldly knowledge. While attuned to this earring, you can choose one of the following languages to read, write and speak as if they were natural to you until the next dawn: Celestial, Elvish, or Sylvan.

[Monastery] Judgement of the Wrathful Knight Ring, uncommon (requires attunement) These tarnished iron ring, despite its rough look, glows with a dark golden fury. When you attune to the ring, a dark pearl gauntlet forms over your hand and up to your elbow, becoming one with your skin but it does not impede your ability to use your fingers or your sense of touch. You gain +1 AC. The ring is found with 2 charges and regain all expended charges at dawn. Whenever you would deal radiant damage with a melee attack, you may expend a charge to deal either fire or necrotic damage instead. Curse. This ring is cursed, and becoming attuned to it extends the curse to you. As long as you remain cursed, you have disadvantage on any Charisma (Persuasion) checks. You are also prone to not showing mercy to an enemy.

[Monastery] Last Oath, Muttered Wondrous Item, rare (requires attunement by a paladin) This small amulet swirls with a spark of divine power. When your hit points drop to 0, you can utter a final oath. When you do, select an ally within 30 feet of you and grant them the effects of your paladin auras for 1 minute. If you die, your oath is amplified, granting all allies within 60 feet of you the effects of your paladin auras for 1 minute. Once this effect has been used, the necklace can’t be used again until the next dawn.

Stained Glass Armor This +2 armor is made of deceptively tough stained glass that changes to represent a heroic or villainous action of the wearer, granting resistance to radiant or necrotic damage based on the imagery shown. It bestows the Dancing Light cantrip and has charges that can be used to cast Color Spray, Daylight, Wall of Light, Prismatic Spray and Prismatic Wall (color/light based spells). Once the last charge is used roll a d20. On a 1 the armor shatters in an explosion of color and glass shards, damaging everyone in a 15ft radius.

For the chase scene: Persistent Ball Bearings; These ball bearings are enchanted with a weak animation magic, making them move together as if they were a single being. Those trying to pass through the space covered by these would treat it as difficult terrain and make any Dex savings throws at disadvantage as the bearings writhe under their feet in an attempt to trip them.

Shadowglass Katana: (light, finesse) this lightweight katana is made from a deceptively fragile looking black glass. This sword is actually quite strong and sharp. 1d8 slashing damage and 1d8 necrotic damage.

Book of Psalms: Hope, Rest, and Life (Attunement) This fancifully decorated holy book contains the many psalms of its religious order, although the meanings of its words seem to evade the reader unless they take the time to attune to it. This book has 5 charges, is found with 1d4-1 charges available, and regains 1 expended charge daily at dawn. With the book held open and aloft in your hand, you may expend the appropriate number of charges as an action to cause one of the following effects. You may expend 1 charge to cast Spare the Dying with a range of ten feet as the words of the psalm seem to lift from the pages and hover around the target, the words of the divine laying themselves over the target's wounds to prevent further bleeding and stabilizing them. You may expend two charges to cast Gentle Repose without need of copper coins, the holy words of the psalm instead floating over the deceased's eyes in an infinite chain, circling from one eye and then over to the other before connecting back with itself in a figure eight pattern. This Gentle Repose cannot be disrupted by non-magical means. You may expend five charges to cast Revivify without the need of diamonds, the holy words of the psalm flying free from their pages to fully encompass the target, while a singular strand of divine text seems to reach into the sky and fade away into the ether to draw the soul back to its body. When the book has lost all of its charges there is a 25% chance that the book will be bathed in a holy light, its pages rendered blank and the book non-magical.

Wraps of smothering The remains of a rug of smothering that guarded the entrance to a monastery that was shredded by intruders. These Wraps come in various sizes and shapes and can move at your command up to 10 feet or 30 feet if thrown. The Wraps can bandage wounds allowing you to expend a hit die and gain it's benefits as an action. If thrown, you can command it to entangle a target, binding their legs, hands, mouth. A successful DC 13 strength save will end the effect, unravel the strip instead of tearing it.

Some kind of thurible that charms those that can smell the incense burning inside.

A holy spear of a God of Wealth/Coins etc that deals radiant damage instead of piercing, that also has the chance of turning a target to gold (re-worked petrify using Constitution saving throw). The Aureate Spear, Spear of Midas etc. Could also be cursed as well... person becomes greedier, wisdom saving throws on seeing piles of coins, spear turning them into gold if they run counter to the 'greedy' nature of the spear... hence the reason it was left in the abandoned monastery.
