Wand of Dusting
Wand, uncommon
The handle of this feather duster is actually a wand. It has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its charges for one of the following properties.
Clean. The area in a 40-foot cube that you can see within 60 feet of you is magically cleaned and tidied over the course of 1 minute. For the duration, any dust mephit that enters the area for the first time on a turn or ends its turn there must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be destroyed.
Cone of Dust. You create a 15-foot cone of blinding dust from the wand. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or be blinded for 1 minute. A creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
"…between the mismatched in- and external measurements, recursive bookshelves, and undisclosed hazard extermination, the fee will be thrice the quoted price."
The mage scoffed—after all, who was this housekeeper to make demands? He rounded at her, "After this, miss, you're lucky I intend to pay at all. Half your work was that idiot wand! Maybe I should pay it instead!"
The housewitch drew herself up to her full halfling height, matching his glare with one honed from decades of work for the rich and arrogant (like him). "Fine then. No pay will be necessary. You'll need to find a new cleaning service soon, though, before the dust starts laughing at you again."
She raised her duster and pointed it straight at his nose. With a practiced flourish, his world (and home) was filled with dust and darkness. Once he'd cleared his eyes, she was gone, and every inch of the dust she'd cleaned had returned.
A dry chuckle came from the dusty bookshelves around him.
