Chronometer of the Time Bandit
Wondrous item, very rare (requires attunement)
This platinum pocket watch keeps perfect time, regardless of where you travel. While the watch is on your person, you automatically succeed on saving throws against the slow spell and any other effect that would warp time or cause you to magically age.
The watch has 5 charges and regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. While holding it, you can use a bonus action to expend 1 of its charges to recreate the effects of the haste spell on yourself (no concentration required). This version of the spell ends at the end of your next turn, without making you suffer the wave of lethargy that typically occurs when the spell ends.
Roll a d4 immediately after you expend a charge from the watch. If the result is more than the number of charges remaining, you take 5 force damage as distortions of time move through you.
”Wait, where's the watch?”
“What, like a guard?”
“Look, I was willing to overlook the debacle on the Plane of Fire—“
“Oh the chronometer! Yes, of course I've still got it. Got it right here…was it my other left pocket…?”
