Club of Spores

Weapon (club), uncommon

This hollow wooden club releases a plume of spores whenever it's swung. A target hit with the club takes an extra 1d4 poison damage from the attack. If the club is under the effects of the shillelagh spell, the target must also make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw if you roll a 4 on the poison damage: on a failed save, the target is poisoned until the end of your next turn.

With a final thud, the drow's withering husk slumped to the ground. Plumes of indiscriminate fungus bloomed and stretched over its face from where it was struck.
The druid's focus waned as the danger passed, and the magic that radiated from their cudgel gently faded.
"Damned cultist," they hissed.
The druid stepped over the body to investigate the sigil the drow carved into the tree. They had already dispatched seven of their coterie here in the Festerwood, and the druid was already beginning the incantation to dispel yet another of their infernal runes.
However, even with their rudimentary Elvish, the druid went on to read a clumsily made heart with 'Ervina + Cre—' carved into the treebark, where the second name slid into a errant slice.
No one was there to witness the druid's mistake, but they never raised their cudgel as quickly again.
