Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

Ideas

1) Cacti Staff — This prickly staff covered in blooming desert flowers deals additional piercing damage when you hit with it. You can also expend charges to fire a barrage of cacti needles to deal damage as well as additional damage each time they move while the needles are stuck in them.

2) Expeditionary Planar Outpost — This flagpole is topped with an ever-waving flag depicting the various planes in a moving diagram. When planted into the ground with its command word, you can create an alarm-protected exploratory outpost with a large tent. Inside the tent, a creature can use one of the various stations for a different activity, such as cooking, mapmaking, navigating, and scouting, with additional benefits.

3) Terrarium of the Climes — This glass terrarium is initially empty, with a hinged lid seeming stuck open that can records a natural environment, then once per day recreates its weather, temperature, and terrain conditions in a harmless sphere for many hours.

4) Guillotine Aspis — A brutal bladed aspis shield is fitted with two opposing crescent blades along its rim. You gain an AC bonus while wielding this shield. Additional, it has charges that can be used to make a guillotine-like attack as a reaction, dealing heavy damage toa creature that has the chance to decapitate it.

5) Knight's Watch — A pole that, when held while perfectly still, makes you indistinguishable from an armored statue of a knight holding a polearm. You decide what the statue looks like, but it can only ever be an armored statue.

6) Honeycomb Ring — This ring is incredibly sticky with 7 compartments filled with sweet honey. Emptying a compartment into a drink makes it taste delicious. After all compartments have been emptied you can throw the ring at a creature within 20 feet, causing a swarm of insects to attack them.

7) Staff of Residual Arcana — A ringed staff that can be used to capture the leftover energy of higher level spells, gaining charges, which can be expended to cast additional spells or deal extra damage when you hit a creature with your staff.
