Punchdrunk Frosticuffs
Wondrous item, uncommon
This pair of brass knuckles is embedded with small, icy gemstones, which spark with blue light. While wielding the knuckles, you can use an action to speak their command word to cause one of the pair to disappear (your choice each time). When this happens, an ice-cold stein magically appears attached to the remaining knuckles, treating them as a makeshift handle. The stein remains until you use an action to speak the command word again or until you make an unarmed strike with your fist. When the stein disappears, the other brass knuckle reappears on your other hand, and the stein (with any drink inside) disappears into a special demiplane, where it remains until you speak the command word again. The stein is always comfortably cool and chilled to the touch, keeping any drink inside of it at a similar temperature.
Your unarmed strikes while using the brass knuckles use a d4 damage die, unless it's already higher. The first time that you hit a target with an unarmed strike using the brass knuckles on each of your turns, that target also takes an extra 1d4 cold damage from the attack. If your attack rolls would normally be made with disadvantage as a result of drinking too much alcohol, they're made as normal while using the brass knuckles.
Darlene chuckled to herself as she stepped over the crumpled thugs out on the barroom floor. She cracked her knuckles and sat back down on her stool at the bar. As she clenched her right hand, her still-frosty stein reappeared in it. She took a well-deserved swig and put the drink back on the counter.
"Hey Lenny," she said, "I don't think those fellas will be causing you any more trouble. Can you fill 'er up again...for the road, eh?"
