Golden Fire Blaster

Weapon (musket), very rare

This wide-mouthed golden firearm burns with a heat from within. It requires no ammunition, instead creating concentrated blasts of fire, but can still fire only once when you use an action, a bonus action, or a reaction to fire it, regardless of the number of attacks you can normally make. The weapon uses 2d8 for its damage dice, instead of 1d12, and deals fire damage instead of piercing. Hit or miss, any creature within 5 feet of the original target when you make a ranged attack with this weapon (including the target itself) must then succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 1d8 fire damage.

Overcharge. While holding the weapon, you can use an action to further concentrate the weapon's firepower. When you do, the weapon releases a gout of flame in a 60-foot line that's 5 feet wide, extending from you. Each creature within the line must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 6d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. Once this property of the weapon has been used, it shouldn't be used again until the next dawn. Each time it is used again before then, the weapon has a cumulative 25 percent chance of backfiring and causing an explosion (instead of this property's normal effects). When this happens, this property can't be used again for 1d4 + 1 days, and each creature within 5 feet of you must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw; you automatically fail the save. A creature takes 6d8 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Nothing can compare to the fear you feel in the face of a dragon. Time slows, and the fire in its belly feels like it's trapped in yours.
Nothing can compare...except maybe this.

Oh cool ๐Ÿ‘. This actually kind of reminds me of something I made recently... **Dragon Spear** --- This item is not magical, rather it is a mechanical wonder. The item appears to be a hollow metal staff with one end having a small hole in the top of it and the other end having a cap that can be unscrewed. There are also two buttons along its length. While this item does not require attunement to use, it does require fuel in the form of oil. A single flask of oil can be poured into the capped end of the staff providing 10 charges to the item. *This item counts a spear when active and always requires two hands to use. When inactive it may be used as a staff.* - __Dragon's Claw__: By pressing one button an intense fire about the size of a spearhead instantly begins burning from the end with the hole and lasts for 1 round. A target hit by the spear takes d6 fire damage instead of normal spear damage. This ability uses 1 charge per round. - __Dragon's Breath__: By pressing both buttons an intense, but momentary 5 foot cone of fire erupts from the end with the hole causing (d6 ร— remaining charges) fire damage to everything in the cone. This ability uses all remaining charges. - __Dragon's Death__: Should the staff ever be broken with oil in it, it erupts into a 5 foot radius fireball centered on it causing (d6 ร— remaining charges) fire damage to all in the area of effect.
