Weapon (sickle), rare

This sickle features magpie motifs, resembling its beak, coloration, and talons. Connected to the base of the sickle is a metal ball at the end of a chain, allowing it to be swung at a distance. You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon, which has the finesse property. Once per turn when you take the Attack action and are holding no other weapons, you can make an extra melee attack with it as part of that action by using its ball and chain against a creature within 10 feet of you; you're proficient with the attack if you're proficient with sickles, and on a hit, it deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1d4 plus your Strength or Dexterity modifier (treat the attack as if it were made with a flail).

Whenever you hit or miss a creature with an attack using the weapon's ball and chain, you can choose to force it to make a DC 15 Strength or Dexterity saving throw (its choice). On a failed save, choose a weapon the creature's holding: that weapon becomes entangled in the sickle's chain. For the duration, you can't attack with the ball and chain, but attacks using the entangled weapon are made with disadvantage; neither you nor the other creature can move more than 10 feet away from each other without either you choosing to end the effect or the other creature choosing to drop the weapon. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
