Heroic Ideas — Choose 2 community item ideas to be made!

Hey heroes!

Each week on Discord, community members nominate other members' suggested items to be made into official Saddlebag items. The top two most voted-for item ideas each week get made, following back and forth workshopping and discussion.

You can submit your ideas on Discord, too! Come join us in the #patron-item-workshop channel!

You may recognize some returning item suggestions! Items can be renominated and re-drawn for weekly polls following a week-long cooldown.

Here are the randomly selected item ideas drawn from this week's nominations!

Ideas

1) Goodshrub Seed — A smooth, dark seed that can be planted and watered, creating an awakened shrub. The shrub is friendly to you and produces magical berries that function as if created by the goodberry spell.

2) Tricksters Pistol — This pistol fires a small flag out of it's barrel with the word "BANG" written on it. Once per day, you can aim at a creature and fire, casting the hideous laughter spell.

3) Quick Swap Necklace — This braided silver necklace tugs itself toward the nearest creature. As a reaction to being targeted by a spell or attack, you can swap places with a creature, causing them to be the target on the effect.

4) Lorelyn's Flute — This lightweight metal flute of a former virtuoso grants proficiency in Charisma (Performance) checks when played. It has charges that can be used to cast the longstrider spell on to up to five people who can't tire during the travel, and if played along side other similar instruments, those affected by the longstrider spell gain bonus to their speed.

5) Armor of the Grotesque — This stone-like armor is adorned with ghoulish motifs. You can doff the armor as an action, giving it wings and flying off to a point within 30 feet of you where it transforms into a gargoyle under your control for 1 hour.

6) Jade Spearwillow Branch — A spear fashioned from a branch taken from a magical willow tree. It has charges that can be used to grow an extra branch from the spear when you miss an attack, and make a new attack against the target. The new branch becomes leafy and falls to the ground, where a nonmagical willow tree later grows.

7) Narrator's Bookmark — This red leather bookmark has a rounded end and is creased in the middle. When placed inside an open book you can speak its command word, causing it to animate like a tongue, reading the book aloud in the language it was written and continues until it finishes the page.

Keep on adventuring!
