I loved listening to this. I binged it all pretty much in the last 3 days. I disliked the character centric specific episodes and the weekend wilderness retreat episodes. I wanted so badly to learn more about lumon itself and the office dynamic that I felt that it was slowing down the plot, almost like filler. Though I can definitely see your perspectives on it
I disliked this show. Could not stand season 1. Not gonna watch season 2.

Definitely check out Escape at Dannemora, I watched it too cuz they kept talking about it on the podcast lol. It’s currently on Netflix and has a lot of the same crew along with Ben who worked on Severance. It’s not as sci fi and only some mystery to it, but it’s so beautifully shot, directed, and edited. I can see the evolution from that show to Severance with Ben’s style.
I still don’t understand why Rocco wanted this season to be bad lmao. He must really hate someone who says that this is their favorite show.
Because it would have been funny
Kier (sorry if I misspelled his name) being resurrected might make sense. I read trying to find an explanation for cold harbor the room where gemma was deconstructing the crib was to test if you show the person an emotional trigger since she miscarried will her personality break free or not. So there is at least something there to see if the true personality can be submissive.
Rebirth is a major theme of the show. There is a lot of visual stuff and story beats that cover new life, i.e. the egg scene, the creation of new life by getting severed, and the baby goats. I also think water further reinforces this theme of purity and rebirth. Gemma seemingly drowning to death, a water tower being present in front of the Lumon office and the Eagan estate, and Lumon's logo itself reinforce these themes. Maybe this is meta-analyzing the plot too much, but I think the most likely candidates of rebirth/new life out of the current cast of characters are James Eagan/Kier/Other Eagans, and I'm positive that's what "revolving" entails.
Coincidentally, when the conversation went to weekly viewing vs. binge, they mentioned the exact episodes I missed due to travelling and later watched back-to-back. This season was fantastic but not without its flaws. Rocco made some good points about where the clues lead, regarding Lumon's goals - part of me wished it was more explicit by the end of the season. Hoping Season 3 keeps up the pace and blows the mystery wide open to expose something darker, or even more mysterious.
I’m so happy the boyz are talking about this! I recommend it to everyone and have no one to discuss it with
The comic con event sounded nuts! Reminded me of the Lost experience in the late 2000s
I really wish Rocco got on the Mr Robot train early since it has similar vibes. In either case he REALLY needs to watch that show.
When’s the electric state video dropping?
