Mega64 Movie Club: Conclave

Movie club is my favorite patreon exclusive show. Please do more Oscar movies like Anora.

I was excited to see Conclave at the cinema, I thought it was an interesting concept but the movie bored me to tears. Probably my most disappointing film of last year

If you guys are making movie club more focused on distinguished/unique films in the future over putting out episodes consistently, would Derrick be interested in coming back on the show? Or other guests? Love seeing a variety of opinions from you all

I watched this because I thought I wouldn't want to see Conclave but now I do. Also as a trans person it's cathartic seeing Rocco tear into Megyn Kelly for being a dumb piece of shit.

I saw Conclave on opening weekend - a Sunday at 1pm - in a sold out showing full of boomers that I’m sure were fresh out of Mass. The gasps and reactions during the ending were so loud I was genuinely concerned for their wellbeing. I thought someone might have to call 911. Incredible theater experience haha

I liked Emilia Perez a fair bit. It's absurdist and maximalist and it's not really a super grounded or serious movie. It's this year's Everything Everywhere All at Once at the oscars imo.

Thanks for this perfectly fine lame encoded mp3 file.

Movie Club is the reason I subscribe to the Patreon. Please continue to do it 🙏
