KKManager v0.9.2 - Further mod updater improvements

v0.9.2 - Emergency bugfix release - fixes updates failing to install in some cases.

Mod, plugin and card manager for Koikatu! and Koikatsu Party.

What's new?

This update is the (hopefully) final part to the major rewrite of the automatic update system. Sorry for the delay to HF Patches and lack of mod releases recently, this took a lot more time and effort than expected but it had to be done. Thankfully it's now mostly finished and ready for general use, so I can focus on other, more fun things again.

This version will be used in HF Patch for Koikatu / Koikatsu Party and most likely in HF Patches for other games as well.

How to use

  1. Overwrite your old KK Manager installation (no need to delete files) or extract to a new folder anywhere (or install the latest HF Patch 3.0.2 or newer to get it).

  2. Start KKManager.exe, create a shortcut to it if you want.

  3. If the game directory was not automatically detected, select where you installed the game.

If there are any mod updates available, the update menu button on top will turn green after a while. You can click it without waiting to check for updates immediately.

I'm sorry but the instructions are unclear to me. Everything I installed came up as a blank file that didn't have an app to open.

What do you mean? Extract the archive attached to this post and run the exe.

Rename and change gender to make or female doesnt work. I've tried the previous ver, but the result is same. What should i do?

Editing cards is not yet implemented. Just drag the card into the game window and it will be adjusted to male/female automatically.

Hey, any clue what's going on? Failed to download file Updates.xml from https://mega.nz/#F!EZMRwQaJ!-xKGMwxDOjct4vYtWtTS3A - File doesn't exist on host Failed to download file Updates2.xml from https://mega.nz/#F!EZMRwQaJ!-xKGMwxDOjct4vYtWtTS3A - File doesn't exist on host and it just hangs on searching for mod updates indefinitely. Those are normal and can be ignored. It looks like it finished finding updates successfully so that's not the problem. Make sure the update select window didn't open off screen somewhere, try restarting the PC and running kk manager as admin.

Everytime there is major updates on modpack, the accessory setting of many cards in story mode will become a mess... I have to reload the card one by one, that is a huge job... Do you think that can be fixed?

Can you send me a card that has this issue?

Fixing Permissions freezes / taking forever, even when program is Run as Admin. Could you kindly add a verbose mode? Also, the About dialog instantly closes.

Why do you want to disable it? If you want to lock access to only maker you can use the title shortcuts plugin for it, check plugin settings if you have it in stalled and set it to auto start maker.

The card lister tab seems to stop loading cards if there are too many of them. For me it always says "Loading cards in progress, 1161 loaded so far", and showing only these 1161 cards (out of 2499 I have). Waiting for them to finish loading does nothing.

M

Are you sure it doesn't actually finish loading the cards and only shows bad status message?

When updating mods, KKManager seems to fail at creating folders. In my case I was updating the Compatibility Pack and the download of files that would end up in subfolders (for example Quokka mods) would fail, until I manually created the subfolder beforehand. Same result with and without admin rights. (I am not sure why the folder was missing in the first place tho)

Yeah, creating folders manually is the only way I managed to install HF 3.01 -- seems to only affect the mods folder though.
