About Marketplace / game updateπŸ—£β—

Hello Everyone!

Today we have a note and a message for you, guys.

Recently we've been receiving some messages on socials DMs, TSR message etc with some people concerned about SIMcredible and this new EA marketPlace.

Although we primarily are alpha creators, we understand that many of our content can be used as MaxisMix, such as 'Naturalis' series, 'Magic Meadows Fairies', 'Tivoly Nursery & Kids' and so on... that's why we think some people were concerned.

Well the answer is simple... We will not be taking any part on EA's MarketPlace, not now nor ever and it never even crossed our minds, because we don't agree with this type of stuff.

We respect people that are involved but it's just not our type.

So, please be ok! You will not be seeing SIMcredible! on this marketPlace thinghie πŸ€“

Another matter we want to discuss is the hotfix EA launched yesterday to repair the problem with CC and mods disappearing after their latest patch...

Many people are still experiencing heavy troubles, crashes and some are not even able to launch their games after this hot fix .

Some people are even having to split their mods folder to do the infamous 50/50 test, which is very painful.

So, if you still did not update your game, please consider wait a bit more to do so...maybe EA will try to find a more stable fix.

We are sincerely sorry for those who are experiencing troubles and not able even to open their games... we did not update our games yet, we're working on 2 sets at the same time and deal with game problems right now would delay our works even more...

So as always, stay safe friends πŸ’›

Much love and have a blessed day 🌞

oh, this is bad πŸ₯Ί There's an option to disable auto updates using EA app. But if you play using Steam, we honestly don't know if there's a way to do it...

I tried to not update my game but not matter how I approached it there was an automatic update. Subsequently about 95% of my mods do not show in my game, a lot of my sims are now walking about semi-naked and bald. I have two worlds that I'm frightened to even go into one is a 1900's town the other ancient China. I really hope they sort this out. I have so much CC that I have paid for and now cannot use. Didn't think to set Origin off line :-(

So sorry to hear this, Ivy-Rose πŸ˜” So far, we gathered some few information from friends. Hope some of these help you. 1- Take a look in your mods folder. All items should be named ***NAME-OF-THE-FILE***.package. If you find some named ***NAME-OF-THE-FILE***.packageOFF, rename it to .package (remove the word OFF) and they should work again. 2- If your files were not renamed to ***NAME-OF-THE-FILE***.packageOFF, test your game with an empty mods folder. Remove all your mods to another folder in your computer. If your game runs without Mods, than place back only regular CC (objects, clothes, hairs, makeup, nails...) Do not place scripted files in your mods folder because they are not updated yet. Some few are but make sure to redownload these scripted mods because this new updated broken them. 3- clearing cache and generating new resource.cfg worked for mod issue. Hope it helps you 🀞

Thank you 😘 I haven't updated my game either. I just need to remember to also set the EA app offline every time I have that open 😁
