Uncensored 109F video with yet newer audio

I'm still working on improving the audio. I think this version is the best one yet, and from now on, if youtube makes me sensor something, I'm putting the uncensored version on Rumble as I did here.

Very nice work, including the armaments comments!
Love your content, I just added you to my Patreon since I saw you were getting social/politcal grief. If they didn't have their heads in a dark stinky place, they'd know you only comment on socio/political influences on technological development.
Love the rumble version of the audio, much better
Youtube audio sounds like Greg had a plastic bucket over his head.
I watched on both Youtube and rumble. I found the Youtube version very boomy and unpleasant to listen to. The Rumble version was much better but still had a lot of bass. I found the delivery rather rushed but the content was as always very interesting.
Fully support any move, small or big to Rumble. Great lesson with either audio, glad you didn't have to censor yourself
Thanks everyone. For those of you who missed the censorship drama, youtube demonitized the video when initially released for not meeting community guidelines or some nonsense like that. They did not specify exactly what the problem was. I guess it was the picture of Hitler and blurred and shrunk him and put it up again. That version was fine. So the "censored" version of the video is on youtube, the non censored version is on Rumble.
Greg, my 2 cents on the audio: if it's costing you money, I wouldn't bother. For your style of video it's not typically an issue IMO unless there are specific issues. I commented on YouTube once when you recorded a video from a hotel room and had some echo. IIRC I suggested either an SM57 or a lav mic. A lav mic would probably work well for that use case, and it's a one-time cost if you normally get negative comments about it.
Greg, my 2 cents on the audio:
Much better sir. Only thing I hear now is your noise reduction is kinda cutting off some of the ends of your words. Dial that back or just turn it off and I thing you are good. Who would think a bunch of youtube watchers could be so critical 😀 . Thanks!
I agree this has the best audio quality of the new ones, with still a bit too much lower-end boost. That's fine for tiny phone speakers, on headphones it is still a bit unnatural, but not too bad.
The audio is more stable here with this video, but I do have mixed feelings. The mixed audio quality was a quirk that gave your videos a certain character. I'm not sure how I feel about it being processed. It's certainly gives it better production quality though. Unprocessed made your voice sound better too.
Interesting video. I seem to recall a wing structural issue with the F model that wasn’t mentioned. Is that a myth?
In the video you mentioned that you were unable to find any photos of Adolph Galland’s modified Bf109F. You’ll find pictures in the Squadron Signal In Action, Messerschmitt Bf109, Part 2, page 9. One photo from the front, showing an “F” model’s right wing with a cannon. There’s also a photo of a different plane, from the right rear showing the cowling bump covering the right 13mm machine gun.
Greg can you clarify for me please. Are you seriously saying the the video was demonetized for simple having a picture of a historical figure? Any specificity from YouTube?
I watched both and didn't notice an obvious difference, curious what was censored in the YouTube version too
What was censored in the earlier upload?
I’ve sent a direct message as well, but I am an audio engineer and would be happy to help with any audio improvements, suggestions, etc. if I can! The audio in this version is definitely a step up though!
I've made it a point to play your videos on Rumble as a form of solidarity. I know its a much smaller audience, but a man can hope. Nonetheless a great video as always, very enjoyable
I've listened to them all so far. The audio sounds best here.
