P-63 videos and others

My P-63 video is coming along pretty well, and I have two big updates about it. First, as I am making it, I realized that the engine set up is so different from every other WW2 fighter that the engine alone needs it's own video, so I'll put that up first. If it's all in one video I think it bogs it down too much.

The actual P-63 video will follow on early to mid October. That video actually has a sponsorship as well, which is great for me, it keeps the wife happy as she arranges the sponsorships.

I think I need to re record some of my older videos as well, specifically some of the Muscle car episodes, but especially the Turbo vs. Supercharging in WW2 airplanes video. That one is really important and as I go through the P-63 stuff it becomes more and more apparent.

Oh, and I'll get that RV video up as well.

I appreciate every one of you.

Greg

I guess some of us love all the old airplanes, but for popularity you need to choose something that has been romanticized by the media. For the sake of your channel and the algorithm, maybe you need to do 1 or 2 super popular planes for each lessor well known? But I for one would love anything you choose to do. You could also maybe do some historical racing cars videos during the early periods as well, you understand what they did to make those cars fast 40 years+ ago way better than I do.

Greg, you are a veritable fountain of knowledge and insight. It's great to have a creator like you who really knows his subjects and can articulate them in a clear and concise manner.

Greg, sounds good! I'm hoping that you will also include some brief words about the unbuilt XP 63H, which would've had the turbo compounded Allison engine. Rated at near 3000 hp!

I’d love a new version of the turbo versus supercharger - could you also mesh in the swirl throttle as it tremendously helps superchargers?

This is going to be great; I thought the engine set-up deserved a separate feature. I sure hope you include comparisons to Allison supercharger configurations in the XP-37 and P-51 J!

Yay, more superprop content!

I am unbelievably excited for the p63 episode, and I think re-recorded legacy videos would be great opportunities for sponsorships where you might have not had them before, along with addenda and corrections as necessary. Drach made several good videos out of recording and voicing his early text to speech videos, you could do similar.

Looking forward to your nuanced investigation as ever, and pleased for you that it's paying its way a little more.

I think the p63 if they managed to get the turbo system more optimized it would've done well as a bomber interceptor. That 37mm had a good bit of velocity for its size.
