New Video Coming Today, plus more news

The J2M2 Raiden cockpit tour video is loading into youtube right now. I expect it will take another two or three hours to finish as it's a big file. I made it in V.R. which is new for me. It's not perfect, I need to get better at it but I wanted to get it done.

I now have a sponsorship for this channel, which will show up in a video that's coming, probably on June 17th, right before my wife and I head over the the museum at Wright Patterson. The sponsor is War Thunder. I don't play War Thunder, but I have talked about it before. What I like about War Thunder is that it's getting younger people interested in WW2 aviation, which I think is good.

I am playing Aces of Thunder, which is the V.R. sequel to War Thunder. That's the sponsorship I really want, but it's not a completed product yet. I have turned down, probably 100 sponsors for this channel. I really wanted one that will fit. With Japanese stuff especially there is a serious shortage of pictures, which complicates these videos. By adding in War Thunder Images I think it's going to make the videos better. The first video featuring this sponsor will be about the F6F Hellcat. I wanted to use a heavy hitting airplane that's well known because they are essentially paying me by the view.

Thanks for all your support and I appreciate you reading this stuff. Anyway, that Raiden cockpit video should be up very soon, maybe by the time you read this.

Would you consider making a video into the n1k1 and the n1k2? Both of them has interesting development history and is considered to be one of the best planes the Japanese has towards the end of the war

Thanks for all the content you put out! I’m glad you’re getting a sponsor that you’re comfortable with. I know by simply looking at all the charts & graphs & extrapolations you provide us that you put a ton of effort into your videos, plus I’m originally from Ok & it’s cool to listen to / watch an excellent content creator from my original home state ! Hope you are physically & financially able to continue to provide the wonderful work you do. This is my favorite channel!

Congrats on the sponsor. You work hard on this stuff, you deserve a few bucks. Honestly, glad to hear that the sponsorship is nudging you do the F6F video. I appreciate the need for the lesser-known-to-English-Speakers aircraft but seeing your take on the Hellcat is something I definitely look forward to. It's going to be a popular video, other than just being a sort of culmination of Grumman's "Push Hard 'Til It Moves" style of fighter but because nearly everyone over 50 had an uncle that flew one.

You probably get a lot of "you should look at Youtube channel X" suggestions, but Showtime112 has interesting, well-researched content on lesser-know conflicts. He is currently doing a series on the Brewster Buffalo vs. Japanese planes in Malaya 1941. This video series begs the question: Did the Buffalo deserve its reputation relative to the F4F? Was the Buffalo technically so much worse, or were the Brewster tactics vs. Japanese planes all wrong?
