Edit: The reason you keep getting these updates is because i cant fit as many live actions at once. So i reall really put a lot of consideration in choice
Folks think we only do romance but we literally are covering shop for killers. I think about 40% of our Kdramas are non romance in nature with things like Worst Of Evil having it…but like..na?
it looks like Queen Of Tears is consistent and airing. So its back into consideration.
I took off Hotel Luna. A couple people compare it’s viewing pleasure to Goblin. They didnt say its the same. Just based on feedback, on Goblin wouldn’t recommend Hotel Luna. To be clear Goblin was a great experience and iconic, it has lows and highs. But id rather avoid shows with so much low moments.
For example Marry My Husband has ZERO low moments to me. Never watched an episode and thought “wow this scene is dragging”. Thats a personal opinion. It’s different for people. You may enjoy the staring and get your tissue out but because i dont feel the same the same way as you to that stimuli…i end up just staring and waiting for something to happen. Lmao.

I did not specify which K drama is replacing twinkling watermelon. Ever since I found out that parasite was coming out in a few days and is a Korean product. I hesitated.
We have a few spots with twinkling watermelon , and I can increase the frequency of “shop for killers” so you will for sure have the average of 5 K dramas a week.
I just wanted to make sure that parasite is going to be a good show in the first place by a couple people getting to it before me

If I missed a wave on a new show I likely will no longer cover it as a reaction channel unless it enters the category of timeless.

Too bad about Mask Girl. It is pretty crazy. I thought I would not be interested too. I don't know why it gives me that Ballerina vibe
i hated it, tbh. the characters all made ridiculous decisions, the writing was kind of all over the place, and the ending was.........talk about a let down. the only positive it had going for it was the acting.
Hotel de Luna is definitely different from Goblin. The story in Hotel de Luna also focus on the hotel's guest, different stories in each episode. Too bad you took it off🥺 Each story is interesting 😁
and this is exactly what I was saying upthread. It's different. But ever since they watched Goblin it keeps getting lumped together and I don't get it.
I think I'd you like queen of tears it takes some of the typical kdrama tropes and turns them. There's also some great cameos. Also if it can be posted to YouTube it would be a hit for views. Because everything else on the romance list is imo, timeless you can cover this for the hype rn.granted just from the eps I already watched I think this might be a classic once it finishes.
Queen of Tears is really really good. Not since Alchemy of souls have I looked forward to Saturdays. I haven't seen a good one like this in a minute. Whoever titled this show is a freaking genius. This would make for a great reaction.

People recommend What's wrong with secretary Kim because of the female lead, since you guys hyped on Marry My Husband. But really, after Death's Game I would recommend Netflix's TOMORROW (definitely no dragging storyline in this series) and then after that check DOOM AT YOUR SERVICE. And to pique your interest in physical action like Bloodhounds, you guys would love VIGILANTE😁

Hey man, i know i sound like a broken record but, i wanted to recommend My Mister again. Although it certainly aint a new show but it is a timeless legend among kdramas, i think you guys would like it. But honestly its fine if you guys choose to watch something else, because watever show you guys react to its always so enjoyable to watch! Stay healthy and keep up the great work! 👍

Would love to see a reaction to Queen of tears, but if not I would be very interested to see you guys react to Happiness. From what I've seen you all react to, I think it has a plot you'd be interested in. It might take 1 or 2 episodes to get really into but I think it's worth it!

Queen of tears is too good to be saved for later, the drama is straight up heat, and the acting is on point (and I mean it), 8 episodes are already out, the whole series has 16 ep in total, so it's most likely gonna finish early next month

Of these, I like Hotel del Luna. I haven't seen Beyond Evil but it's on my list. I like What's Wrong with Secretary Kim but it's basically in the same category as Business Proposal.
You did a fare share of romcoms, so it would be nice to see something different. Beyond Evil is for sure worth the watch, it has such an amazing cast, atmosphere, vibe and plot. Also, love the relationships between the main characters . For those who find it slow, well not every show needs to start crazy fast some need build up and for viewers to get into the mood of the series
They generally perform the best and reinforce themselves if that makes sense
I recommend beyond evil, it was a very interesting watch for me. A lot of interesting characters and it honestly seems like a show I think y'all will enjoy. :)
Hotel del Luna is my personal favorite out of these. The lead is a Kpop artist and her character is extremely sassy. She is the reason it was on my radar in the first place. And the premise was interesting. I was surprised that 2 other kpop artists were also recurring characters in it. Secretary Kim is on hold for me until I get over the fact that they used a plot point/trope that I personally hate (it was going great until then, but hard to say if it would have topped Hotel del Luna even without that part). I will definitely resume it later on. As I side note (because I can't get the suggestion page to work for me without crashing), I highly recommend Strong Woman Do Bong Soon. Both leads are fantastic. There is a "prequel" and a "sequel" but they are unrelated to it as far as I am told. It didn't affect my experience in the slightest.

the only one i can't get behind is beyond evil. i know a lot of people are recommending it, but tbh i found it boring and the writing a bit juvenile. the leads literally go back and forth about blaming eachother and it just gets repetitive. i think maybe the case was interesting? maybe? but i was so distracted with 'you did this' 'no you did this' 'no you did this first' 'ok i believe you' 'now i dont believe you' 'ok but i believe you now'...............................>.>
Im so glad Beyond Evil made it this far - it's kindof a slow burn bcz almost every character has 'something' but it's def worth the wait , the same way i enjoyed 'Moving'
it's interesting you compared the two, because i couldn't even get past the second episode of moving because of how boring it was. now that you mention it, beyond evil was also very boring. so i feel like the payoff is not worth it for moving anymore. thanks for the heads up

I'm not sure why Hotel Del Luna is recommended to you guys. Based on what you've enjoyed/not enjoyed so far, I see this being another Goblin situation. I think people are just projecting their interests onto you, instead of keeping in mind what you guys like. Ikr it was a stuggle to get through Hotel Del Luna. I would say it's even worse than Goblin in terms of how slow some parts can be.
of the ones that you listed, Hotel Luna is the one I would choose with Beyond Evil second.

thank youuuuu! i have never seen anyone else rec this, and always see hotel del luna. masters of the sun would definitely be considered a timeless, under their definition. not to mention so ji sub is such a slept on actor for international kdrama fans. he's had some amazing work in the past and i haven't seen a single reaction to any of them.

What’s wrong with secretary Kim is my comfort show. I feel like hotel del luna has the same vibe as goblin. I can’t say anything about beyond evil because I never finished it. I might revisit it one day when I’m bored because it starts out kinda slow

Nice choices but i would still love to recommend "Descendants of the Sun" the main lead is the male lead on vincenzo. Anf if not also would like to recommend " Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" this two are my all time favorite kdrama shows. And running in third is doctor slump hehehe

I couldn’t finish Hotel del luna, I don’t know why, but I felt bored while watching it🤷🏻♀️ I’d recommend you “Descendants of the sun” and “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim” You know both drama’s main actors. These are really good, especially DOTS. I’ve never seen someone reacting to this, because it’s old, but it has a lot of fans, mainly because of the SongSong couple. But, the story itself is really entertaining👍🏻

Out of the shows mentioned above I prefer what’s wrong with secretary Kim. It’s a timeless classic. Very entertaining and a lot to discuss and argue in a fun way. As for beyond evil, it’s a good show but personally I did find it slow (interesting tho) and I don’t enjoy watching reactions to it. (Just a personal opinion). I also do not see it pulling numbers on youtube. Hotel Del Luna is good but I did drop it after 8-9 episodes because of the repetition of the plot in each episode. Although pick the one which you find engaging because that is when we will get the best reaction.

Totally support your decision, parasite looks good, and since it's an adaptation of a Japanese story and now a k-drama it should have a relatively large audience. Can't wait for Happiness and Hotel DeLuna though ❤️
