Market Movements

Hey Guys,

I thought this really deserved a post of its own based on all the questions I've gotten!

First, let me just say the market has been crazy this year! There have been so many unexpected factors that are causing major differences.

EA essentially gave players a strong reason to play Thursday-Sunday, but very little to do during the week. I believe EA chose to do this to have players pick between Rivals or Champs, but they don't have another mode in the interim. It was a poor choice and I hope they change this approach.

You can feel this impact on the game heavily. As you saw during the week, every time we got any sort of supply the market went down. This was because most players are not looking to change their team in the early week now. There is far more supply than demand when we see consistent packs in the week.

This led to the market being really really low on Wednesday and then absolutely booming on Thursday!! This week it was amplified because people had lost coins and were scared to trade/buy. I would not expect the same kind of inflation this week, but still a nice rise.

As I previously stated, without great content on a Thursday the market rises into Friday. We saw that this week. If you have out of packs flips, it may be worth the risk to hold into Friday. If you have golds, you are fully dependent on pack supply on the Thursday. If we get good packs, they'll drop.

Now, on Saturday you see the market stabilize, but not rise. Most players bought their team on Thursday and Friday. You can see this due to the insane inflation.

Sunday the market will be declining as people complete Weekend League. This will go into a decline until Squad Battle rewards. You will likely see it continue to stay low/drop until late morning UK on Monday. At that point, most packs have been opened and people are using the coins to upgrade their team!

All in all, the easiest days to make coins should be during periods of mass supply during Rewards sets. I also think trading from Thursday to Friday will be great as cards will continue to go higher naturally.

This isn't to say these are the only days to trade, but they're good days to make some bigger moves!

Hope this helps provide some insight!
