Squad Battle Rewards

Hey Guys, 

Rewards day upon us and should be a great opportunity to make some coins early in the week! 

I know many of us (including me) have lost coins lately. The entire market is down. Look at literally any single card. You are not alone and all users have lost coins. If you had a team, they are likely down. This is due to a few reasons, but here are some culprits - 

1. Early Buying

Many people built amazing teams faster than ever this year. Mid-tier meta cards have fell off a cliff this week. If you look at starter squad players they cannot retain their value. Examples include Zakaria, Llorente, Richarlison. Players are rapidly upgrading beyond them at this point already. 

2. Pack Supply 

People are spending more than ever on Fifa Points, so whenever packs are in the store there is supply coming in. On top of that, there have been daily pack SBC’s supplying golds to the market. This supply is a lot when most players have the majority of their team built. 

3. Traders 

This factor cannot be overlooked. There are a lot of people trying trading this year and unfortunately they can alter our investments. Investments that should be very safe can be panic sold by people holding and worrying. This is easiest to see in cards like Gold Sane and Havertz who are down well, but have no supply. 

It’s all about time, learning and continuing to move forward. I’ve made well over 5 million coins this year, but also lost at least 500K for reference. We keep moving. 

For Squad Battles, we’ll focus on the non rare supply! Non-rare have actually done pretty well this week due to Marquee Matchup and Daily SBC requirements. Good nations, ratings and positions have seen some nice prices.

This method is best performed on Xbox. When cards hit Futbin solutions on Xbox they often do not get updated for hours and you see them absolutely spike often exceeding 3K+ from discard. It’s still a viable method on PS4, but Futbin updates the console faster, so it’s usually a less severe rise. 

I will breakdown cards by current price. This is reflective of how high they can go and what they may recover to after this big supply from rewards. The buy now will decrease at SB rewards, which makes bids even better. You get set up to get a very nice low price! Remember, you can bid 1-1.5 hours after rewards OR 8-10 AM. I saw the early morning time worked fantastic last week, too!

Next, I think we need to realistically take a look for AT LEAST CLUB stocking SBC fodder. I expect more players SBC’s this week and they are really dead right now. Any decent SBC and they should see a rise.

These are higher budgets, but some of the few cards in the game actively retaining their price (or relatively close)! I do think if EA can lay off the pack supply we’ll see nice market rise all around. It’s just a mater of if they choose to do that....
