For my Patron Vincent who has patiently requested a map with elemental planes meeting for many months for the Map of the Month Poll! Figured I'd just go ahead and paint it as it's was fairly simple in theory although it took a bit to get to look right in the end, hopefully he likes it!

It's also got some more normal variants for those not intending to visit the plane of fire or water anytime soon!

For this map I had a feeling of a pandora's box type of relic, hidden away or guarded for centuries. With the accompanying variant maps you could have the players show up to thwart the opening of the chest only to fail, plunging the world into darkness or alternatively have the world already be in the darkness and they must find the chest and close it.

This Map of the Month was a huge undertaking and ate up a lot of the map time for this month but was so worth it! A massive sprawling city street I based it off the previous maps from my Campaign Shadows of Rikton, since in that campaign you play as a thief and this new map is perfectly set up for taking advantage of that, rope ways on the roof for stealthy access across the map and a full sewer with hideout, profane shrine, beasts den of bones and more. Lots to explore and uncover!

I liked the idea of a long lung dragon living in the hole for this map, perhaps the towns people leave offerings on the altar for it, hoping it to grant wishes or good fortune. Perhaps it was once a guardian of the local town at one point but has become corrupted, now it no longer wishes for trinkets of the townsfolk but for flesh, which the townsfolk have reluctantly began bringing it...

For the variants I really liked the astral ones, maybe not for a combat, but a scene where the PCs travel to this demi-plane and are confronted by a massive god-like being (Skeletal in the case of the red astral map) who makes them some kind of deal that they can't refuse sounds pretty cool!

60x40 Cliff Beach of Sacrifice Multi-Level Battlemap (Subscriber Only Map, This is a Low-Resolution Sample)

For this the idea was that criminals would be chained to the rocks at low tide to either be eaten by creatures like giant crabs or drowned. You could either have the players be convicted on crimes and sent here, or perhaps they need to save someone who has already been sent here. From a scene prospective you could have the players arrive on the top of the cliff just in time to hear yelling below, as they reach the edge they see giant crabs scuttling from the water for their daily feed. The players would have to make their way down the cliff face to rescue the NPC that they're their for before it's to late.

Adding combat to the upper cliff area you could have the guards that tied up the prisoners just now returning from the beach heading towards the players, they of course will not let the players past.
